GDH abandoned its subsidiary online game company Gonzo Rosso on March 31st. Although the online game was the only profit-making department of GDH, they decided to invest all of their resources to anime production.
The amount of debt of GDH has been in excess of their total asset. If the statement of accounts to be released this month doesn't show any change in the financial status, GDH will be delisted from the stock market.

I have a generally love/hate relationship with Gonzo and I know they had it coming, but damn...hope Shangri-La helps them out even a little bit, cause that looks like a really good show at least.

what is so strange about naming a company after greek letter?

λFilms

Nothing strange to me.

Hopefully the λFilms will go to quality-production like Samurai7 again.

As long as they manage to produce Shangri-La before they go down for good it's ok with me.

It's a joke. :) Well, everything besides the Gonzo Rosso thing (which is true and the right thing to do imo).

Unfortunately, the delist is not a joke, it's confirmed. I think Murahama's new company is likely to be true because it would be quite unpleasant for the Gonzo staff to see such a bad joke in this situation.

Delist from the stock market doesn't necessarily mean a bankruptcy but there is no question that Gonzo will experience a terrible ordeal and has to carry out a radical restructuring.

Even so, I don't like the sound of that.. GONZO is one of my favorite anime studios, yet such a terrible economic fate awaits them, how sad..

April Fool's started 2 1/2 hours ago, and this was posted 1 hour ago?

I think this might be real news, since I don't think a lot Japanese ppl actually do any pranks on April Fools day. plus, April 1st is the beginning of a fiscal year for them so today might be a good day to start a company?

Intresting..

Did you noticed the sarcasm in that word? :ol

This isn't good..

Now, people can't tell whether its real "news" or "April Fool's".
