Hoshi ni Negai wo Anime Announcement (*Updated*)
Producer Tetsuro Satomi (Samurai Champloo, Galaxy Angel), the founder of Barnum Studio animation company, has announced on his company’s official blog that he's privately working on Hohsi ni Negai wo ("Wish Upon a Star") doujin anime. It will be directed by Kazuya Ichikawa (Appleseed Saga Ex Machina CG Production).
Cast: Sawashiro Miyuki, Hikami Kyoko, Ohkawa Toru, Naya Rokuro, Akutsu Kana
The release is planned for the next Comic Market in Japan.

Draft designs of "Hoshi ni Negai wo"
This is an experimental 3D CGI doujin anime created by professional anime artists and voice actors/actresses. It will be burned manually on 100 copies of Blu-ray discs and sold for 1500 yen ($15) at the 75th Comic Market (if they make it). Satomi-san is trying to sell it in online doujin shops, too. He said the staff were working on this gratis; "This is my hobby project."
