'Kimi no Iru Machi' Mangaka Seo Kouji to Begin New Manga Series

It has been announced Seo Kouji, mangaka of Kimi no Iru Machi, will be starting a new manga series.

The new series, titled Fuuka, will begin in the 11th issue of Weekly Shounen Magazine, which will be released February 12, 2014. The 11th issue will also include the last chapter of Kimi no Iru Machi.

Synopsis
The protagonist has just moved to a new city where he first meets an eccentric young lady named Fuuka. This encounter is the beginning of their love story.

I'd also like to see Seo tackle a yuri side plot without having it be a joke, like it was in KnIM. There will have to be more characters introduced for that though. Right now there are the three sisters, Fuuka, "track guy", a couple of nameless classmates, and Tama-chan (or "mole girl") who sent him a twitpic at the end of chapter 2. I guess one of his sisters could have a serious yuri relationship and it would be a good side plot. (Him dealing with it, the other sisters accepting/rejecting it, etc...)

But I'll probably just be labeled as a yuri fanboy for suggesting it... Oh... Yeah... I guess I am... LOL

that would be kind of neat. heck, i wonder if yuzuki will die in fuuka if seo does the "WHO WILL NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN/DIE!?!" it's always the ones who are nice and even the ones who guide you.

speaking of yuri, try and read citrus. i highly recommend it.

After just finishing Kimi machi and Suzuka in less than 2 weeks it's going to be interesting to see how I enjoy Fuuka when reading one chapter at a time. I'm terrible at waiting how romance twists work out themselves.

First chapter and this girl already looks 10X more detestable than her mother. Not very impressed, both Suzuka and Kimi no Rage had far better first chapters.

Definitely checked it out. Despite kimi going up and down, it got me into manga with all the emotions I felt. The first manga I ever read, and I love suzuka, so must read.

What? I guess another case of haters always scream the loudest.
(never read the manga, but I just find it out that it has a score of over 8, yet there hasn't been a single positive comment so far)

The score often doesn't reflect the series' quality. Most of those scores are due to the early chapters which admittedly were pretty good, but everything later on was filler or forced drama (that lasted <10 chapter at max). In this case 'haters' could be rephrased into 'poor souls who once loved the manga but got raped by Seo's inability as an author'.

If the author is the same, there'll be similar pattern / characteristic between the author works, and the author 'taste' will be shown in his/her story,imo Seo Kouji have a shitty 'taste'.
I've had enough KnIM shit. and btw from the synopsis, i can tell it wouldnt be much different thatn KnIM.

Even though Kimi no iru machi is really poor lately , I enjoyed following the story (though I can't say I'm a big fan cause i only started reading it 1 year ago).That being said , i'll give this a chance.
