And once again One Piece beats all the asses in manga sales for the third consecutive week

It´s not even something worth mentioning anymore, One Piece alone at the top just became common sense.

LOL true!

Good to see yamada is ranked 29! Heard the author worked her butt off during golden week!

I just read Shingeki No Kyouji and thought it's a great manga, but I had no idea it would got rank 3 in the list

Best selling, actually. Horizon is projected at 20883 sales, and Sword Art Online is 24255. Horizon just really fell off after a strong first month, now its struggling to stay in the top 50.

SAO comes out a full month later, so I wouldn't compare those estimates directly. Horizon has gotten 1502 hourly updates at Stalker while SAO has only seen 837. If you compare SAO to where Horizon was at 837 hours, Horizon has a better peak (2 vs 4), better average (14 vs 16) and better lowest rank (37 vs 44). Of course, these are all very close numbers, so it won't be too shocking if they end up selling about the same. I expect Horizon to be higher on BD, but SAO should have modest DVD sales too while Horizon is BD only.

SAO Vol. 1 was dropping into the 30-40s too, before Vol. 3 got solicited just in the past day or two and sent them all back into the top 10 for the moment. I expect that'll happen for a while each time a new disc is solicited, because SAO is being done one at a time and Horizon was all solicited from the start.

yea SAO keeps jumping whenever a new volume is solicited or a new episode is made....but I think SAO will sell ~20k for the first volume. I dunno about the next volumes though....is the first volume discounted?

SAO is definitely not well made in my opinion... was no where as engaging as the novel's order

AS someone whos never read the novel (I feel that reading the source material beforehand will just detract from the anime), I think its a very good anime, one of the better of the year so far. Maybe its a bit too haremy for some, but I like it that way.

Really can't wait to watch the Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki movie. Directed by the same guy who did Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo? Yes please!

The anime is obviously not well made!

I'm thinking your definition of "obviously" isn't shared by a lot of people. SAO is on track to be the second best selling show of the season. It's a definite major hit and damn popular.

Steep drop for kuroko but at least its still in the top 50s XD

Do you know how long those other volumes have been out? For quite a long time and it's still in the top 50. Kuroko no Basket will surely remain in the top 10 manga sales of Japan for 2012.

how is it a steep drop by any means? the fact that many of the previous volumes have once again charted in the top 50 is a great thing.
