According to the Garo Project Official Blog, the midnight tokusatsu show "Garo" will be receiving a TV anime series. More information will be announced at later time.

Garo is a tokusatsu show that "focuses on the life of Kouga Saejima, who has assumed the title of Makai Knight to protect humanity against dark demonic manifestations called 'Horrors.' In his quest to purge them, he encounters a young girl named Kaoru whom he saves from a Horror, but learns that she is stained with its demonic blood. As a rule, those that have been stained by the blood of a Horror shall be cut down, or else they will die painfully in approximately 100 days. Kouga spares Kaoru and tries to find a way to purify her before her remaining time expires. Thus, the series focuses on Kouga's developing relationship with Kaoru and his stand in protecting humanity in accordance with the wishes of his father, the previous Garo. In the process, encountering another Makai Knight named Rei Suzumura who eventually becomes his ally, Kouga confronts his father's former disciple who is also the cause of a recent string of Horror attacks in preparation of a more sinister advent of the Horrors' originator, Messiah." Tokusatsu, which translates as "special filming," is a Japanese live-action genre that uses special effects. Examples of tokusatsu are hero shows that air in the mornings like Kamen Riders, Super Sentais, Ultraman (TV series usually targeted at kids), and Godzilla (films). (More information on Wikipedia.)

Well, after Samurai Flamenco, I'm open to more tokusatsu shows.

Symbv, is this tokusatsu show more popular with men or women? I'm just curious. Wonder how it'll be adapted into anime. And it's supposed to have an original story too...

No I mean the studio for the anime.
But you said "I need to watch the movies", right? The anime is not the movies... Or you were talking about different things when you said "any speculation on the studio" ?

Two different things in the two sentences. Sorry for lack of context between the two. It has been a long day of work.

^ Precisely, to be honest, even the tokusatsu show aired in daytime is watched more and more by adults (in fact by women because of those ikemen). The notion that tokusatsu show must be kids show is so outdated these days.

This is a late-night tokusatsu so kids can't really watch it without recording.

Also, there is nudity and gore to some extent. I used to joke about how every season the first episode must show tits and the last boss is always a giant nude lady.

It is a very popular tokusatsu franchise watched more by teenagers and adults than kids. It is having a live-action movie coming and the 4th season of the show is coming too. A tokusatsu show getting animated is quite rare so it is quite significant news.

Hopefully it'll decide what it's going to be from the beginning, unlike Samurai Flamenco..
