 A panel room session at the Otakon convention revealed that the second season of fantasy series Garo is planned for Fall 2015. The producer of the series, Masao Maruyama, also revealed that the second season will take place in a historical-like setting related to the Heian Period. In addition, this season will feature a female protagonist.As part of the session, Maruyama also revealed that the Garo Movie will premiere in Summer 2016 with a brand new story. More information will be available at a later date. The first season of Garo: Honoo no Kokuin (Garo: The Animation) aired from October 2014 to March 2015 with a total of 24 episodes. The franchise also inspired various other adaptations including live-action films, a TV drama series, and various anime adaptations. | It would have been nice to see a continuation of last season's story, but this sounds interesting. We'll get to see an ancient Japanese setting compared to last season's medieval European setting. I enjoyed season 1 way more than I thought I would so I can't wait for this. Now to (im)patiently wait for the announcement of when season 2 of Shingeki no Bahamut: Genesis will air........................ |
