Anime Adaptation Project of Manga 'Coppelion' Restarted; TV Series to Start Fall 2013

On the cover of the latest (18th) volume of manga "Coppelion", it was announced that the anime adaptation project for the manga has restarted and the TV anime series will air this fall.

The manga was originally announced to be adapted into a TV series back in October 2010. However, after the devastation of the March 2011 tsunami which caused the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Disaster, the material (with its background of post-nuclear catastrophe Tokyo) was deemed inappropriate in the aftermath of the incident and the project was suspended.

The manga started publishing in 2008 and is currently serialized in Monthly Young Magazine.

^ The OP has so much of the vibe from "K" and then I checked.. Voila! Same singer and music staff, and even the same director/character design (again Suzuki Shingo is doing both directing and character design).

I just saw the trailer for this, it looks like it has a lot potential! I like animes that have a sense of "no one left behind".

If it sells really well this season, then it might get a 2nd season. However, it might be too early to even be talking about a 2nd season.

I just love the art, especially the character and environment design. This is the dark horse of Fall Season among big titles and I have the feeling that it will do well.

Yes,they are showing promos.They are doing it with atleast one show every year from 2008(Tears to tiara and FMA:B).Last year it was K-project.

I got the impression (from the manga) that the plot will need plenty of time to develop. 2-cours would definitely make more sense, but oh well.

^ In fact, if it shows there are 7 volumes (like Love Live) then I would say it is fair to guess there will be 13 episodes. But 6 volumes? Absolutely no basis at all.
