Anime 'Mawaru Penguindrum' to get Manga Adaptation

It was announced that the original anime "Mawaru Penguindrum" is being adapted into manga and is serialized in the monthly manga magazine "Gekkan Comic Birz", starting from the July issue that is published on May 30th. The next chapter will be released in the September issue to be published on July 30th. The manga is drawn by Shibata Isuzu.

The anime was aired in 2011 from July to September.

hmm...a reverse one...not that much a fan of Anime having Manga...I'm more of a Manga having Anime...

That was my first thought as well, but admittedly, it would be quite ridiculous to have a second season after such ending.
Since I loved the anime, I'll surely give the manga a try!

Wow, I'd actually want to read it, anime was awesome. Though I'm not sure if it'll make a good manga story, since it was pretty... unique, I guess?

Yup, makes sense.
Yes, this is always the case for many magazine publication in Japan. The issue number is always the month after.
