Just like Higurashi this one was canceled because of current events: vice-principal arrested for soliciting students.

e__O Well, I haven't heard of it until now, but after reading the synopsis.. well, it seems pretty self-explanatory.

hmmm i dont know why they take it out i mean ofc its a little "hard" for childrens to watch but i mean cant they air it in different times? or censored it? like school days (in school days i mean they cut out the h-scene)

but i think all peoples are like that if one thing happen then someone have to search for something to blame of
games and tv for example

People are fine with seeing people get tortured and killed in the most realistic way.

But, if something have things that are too racy. Then to arms! Boycott! Petition! We don't want to subject our kids to that!

"Will someone please think of the children?"

well...tbh the premise would understandably raise eyebrows among the more sensitive ppl. however, it's true: this show really isn't filled with fanservice (well the OVA is but we're not talking about that lol), ppl really shouldn't rush to judgement so quickly.

I think that's part of the show's problem. While, as stated above by more than one poster, the show probably won't be inherently more fanserivce-filled than some other shows out there, those other shows had, at least nominally, a separate premise, and the loli aspect was tangential (or at least it was claimed to be.) For KnJ, the very premise and central conflict of the show is the loli aspect, which at least the others danced around indirectly. I wouldn't be surprised if they play up some other aspect of the story for the televised series and push the controversial aspects a little farther back into the plot.

Whatever the case, Studio Barcelona is quickly making a name for itself.

Well said. Most of the people so vehemently opposed to this show don't seem to have much idea of what it'll be like (and obviously haven't watched the single-episode OVA). There's no more fanservice than most other loli-centric shows, and it's amazingly tame considering the amount of flak it's getting. I'm beginning to think everyone just immediately assumes it's a loli hentai show or something similarly ridiculous.

>>I am glad they removed it. The existence of that show just makes me sick... it disturbed me when I found out that it was going to be made into an anime.

>>Also in the article, it mentioned that Higurashi was removed from Toei TV indefinitely... I thought it would only be delayed. I hope it still is airing on other stations.

Heh, funny how the existance of Higurashi doesn't make you sick, despite its violent torture scenes, and mild lolicon fanservice. But that pales in comparison to a young girl with a crush on her teacher. It may have a lot of fanservice but nothing malicious. I don't want to get into a debate, but I find your abhoration of KnJ highly amusing.

I hope to god it still airs; I've been waiting for it for so long..
