The last episode of School Days has been removed from the airing schedule on several different stations. According to the official School Days website it is unknown if they will allow it to be aired. A while back, it was announced that School Days might have a tragic ending as in the games that it was based on, which in were very bloody. The reason for the episode being removed has been confirmed to be due to a 16 year old killing her father with an axe.

It turns out that there is an article related the killing... it seems that she changed into a black dress just before killing her father

Edit: Higurashi thread merged to this one

There are now reports that the next episode of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai has been delayed. In the first season, there were several violent deaths, some of the victims were killed by axes. Higurashi currently in it's second season aires on five different stations, but their future plans for the show are currently unknown.

A man's been butchered alive in his own living room by his daughter, and all anyone can think about is a television show.

You gotta love people. Modern inconvenience. Tch.

I don't know what to say...
it seems like AT-X is our only hope to see the release sooner then waiting for DVD releases..

That's so inconvenient... Ppl are getting killed everywhere and nobody is stopping shows to be sorry for that.

"According to the official School Days website it is unknown if they will allow it to be aired."

So I watched all these in a marathon not to see Makoto dying ._.?

That's a bummer. I really want to see who dies. I guess it involves an axe if that story is why it got pulled.

I just hope Higurashi ep. 12 won't get delayed... or worse, cancelled.

And based on the stuff I've been reading, it seems like School Days did end with a "good" ending most people wanted where someone gets stabbed/killed/murdered.

that girl.. sucks. And is twisted >_> twisted.. just like kotonoha! Ah, the connections make sense. yet not.

well, lots of people die everyday.. so I'm just pissed about school days not airing. (Yeah, I'm cold hearted, so what?)

Girl purchases axe, chooses dress then brutally murders Traffic Cop Father, then she confesses to the crime with the bloodstained dress still on. Sounds a bit ritualistic. What did the father do to deserve that, what drove the daughter to such madness, what does any of that have to do with a TV Show? I mean seriously, if your not going to air a show because it has similarities with real life events then they should only air fantasy and sci-fi shows or shows with no drama or action whatsoever. I think its a bit hypocritical. Its television, if you don't like it, don't watch it and enough people don't watch they'll stop showing it altogether.

This has been done before anyway. This was the original reason why the manga X was stopped. Because of tragedies in real life that can be reflected in the violent content of the story. And after 5 or 6 years it never continued (for different reasons I think but it still doesn't change the initial one). T.T

I can understand everyone's indifference over the killing in this thread just cause people are dying every... (1)...single (2)... second (3). 3 people just died with that sentence. But I still kind of dislike everyone's priorities on a TV show moreso then the fact that a life has been lost.

Its funny that people care more about the episodes being delayed then a person being murdered. Oh well, I want to see the last epi of School Days as well. >.<

Felli disapproves of this thread.

They brought it onto themselves. Of course something gets more attention than usual if you take it, which might be connected to the whole thing out of something like a normal schedule.

That's why this delaying is stupid in the first place. People in this business should be able to think this far, it's a mystery to me.

Hmrph yall seem so insensitive... but that is the mind of the otaku :P
so what if its gonna get pushed back a week or so... can you blame them? its a business, they dont want to get sued for such foolishness. Lawsuits are epensive and im sure most of these companies hate losing money for pointless issues.

A real life person killed somone with an axe for chrissakes, who the hell does that nowadays?? Granted, its gettting an axe is easier to buy for a grade school girl than a gun but if thats a big news story in japan then you all have to just respect their wishes. Uninformed people like to place blame on shows, games and other inanimate objects its that simple.

What amazes me is that 5 tv stations carry the same show. Are they all under the same network? If not, i'd be fairly impressed since every show here (in the states) only stays on one network.

EDIT: They did the same thing with Black Jack... they took out episode 3 because at the same time there was a big issue about a leisure ship sinking. but they re released it later on in a dvd. If they're so worried about it and dont want to get in hot water im sure they'd probably do the same... all though that would mean "axing" (pardon the pun) a whole story arc to be released in dvd :P

EDIT2: Dude you dont need 2 posts for this news article -_- merge both under this one.

Let me go back in my shell

haha who called that? :D

on a side note pulling stuff off the air due to current events is not unusual. I remember quite a few movies and TV shows here was put off for like half a year after 9/11. First example that comes to mind is the movie Big Trouble, which involved some terrorism and well...would've touched quite a few nerves if they put it in theaters when scheduled.

on the other hand the fact is someone was killed with an axe. doesn't really affect too many ppl on the same scale as 9/11 so...yea
