School Days now rated R

The School Days anime is now officially rated R from episode 9. Up to this point it had no such age restriction set and many viewers and fans of the violent game endings were anxious that this meant no "bad ending". But maybe School Days is now free to write some new anime history~

It's really not that bloody. Sekai's encounter with a saw was probably more funny than it was gruesome (like the death that happened in the end of death note), makoto's death took too long to really become a shock or anything and the only one that really did gave an impact was the suicide (that was REALLY bloody and sick).

The only thing that was "scary" about the bad endings, was that you get to see how sekai/kotonoha turn into friggin' psychopaths. Especially seeing how Kotonoha got bullied and did all that stalking....... ugh >.<
That just creeped me out. o.O

Strange thing though is that I didn't really have too many problems with Makoto before in the game, but he pissed me off in the anime. I had (and still have) a more larger problem with Taisuke who I just want to beat to death everytime I see his perverted face. >.<

You got that right. Makoto deserves to die, for dragging both girls into his little heaven while they delude themselves to think that they are needed.

If he doesn't die in this series, I'll kill him myself.

Basicly, this anime turned from your average L/R (love and romance) story to something twisted and bloody and hentai. Yes, that basicly it.

It's like elfen lied, except with lust instead of violence and character depth.

I don't know much about ratings, but maybe it has to do with the

So, this series is not in actual fact the romance it reads like it is according to its synopsis then? Nothing in that seems like it deserves a high age restriction.

Well, to tell you the truth, I found this anime to be quite painful to watch, the parts where katsura is deluded to think she was still makoto's girlfriend was quite painful especially. I wonder of anyone else feels this way or is it just me.

Then again, this anime is quite realistic so I should just accept it...

Interesting. I haven't checked this anime out but because of this, my interest was definitely rose a bit.
