The School Days anime is now officially rated R from episode 9. Up to this point it had no such age restriction set and many viewers and fans of the violent game endings were anxious that this meant no "bad ending". But maybe School Days is now free to write some new anime history~

I've been reading blog entries from THATAnimeBlog. Crusader is one of the many (but he is so harsh and funny) complainers about Matoko. After the job he did with Episode 8 and Satsuna, and the comments i read about how he'll react with episode 9...

Ironic that i said in the FAL Week 8 thread that maybe a School Days "bad ending" might not happen, and the anime bloggers riot.

I still have yet to play the game, maybe I should get a copy some time soon. I've mainly read some summaries and I have all the cgs.
But to the news, no idea if they're good or bad. It's not really a shock either sooo, yeah.

Have our prayers been answered or is this just a hoax for language and sexual content?

Well, to tell you the truth, I found this anime to be quite painful to watch, the parts where katsura is deluded to think she was still makoto's girlfriend was quite painful especially. I wonder of anyone else feels this way or is it just me.

Then again, this anime is quite realistic so I should just accept it...

I feel the same, but i've got to continue since it's only 3 episodes left, and chance for a bad ending.

I hope Makoto dies.

So, this series is not in actual fact the romance it reads like it is according to its synopsis then? Nothing in that seems like it deserves a high age restriction.

It's like elfen lied, except with lust instead of violence and character depth.

I don't know much about ratings, but maybe it has to do with the

You got that right. Makoto deserves to die, for dragging both girls into his little heaven while they delude themselves to think that they are needed.

If he doesn't die in this series, I'll kill him myself.

Basicly, this anime turned from your average L/R (love and romance) story to something twisted and bloody and hentai. Yes, that basicly it.
If you thought the anime was violent, the game would be a living hell. I had to play the same bad "eternally" ending twice....*shivers*

It's really not that bloody. Sekai's encounter with a saw was probably more funny than it was gruesome (like the death that happened in the end of death note), makoto's death took too long to really become a shock or anything and the only one that really did gave an impact was the suicide (that was REALLY bloody and sick).

The only thing that was "scary" about the bad endings, was that you get to see how sekai/kotonoha turn into friggin' psychopaths. Especially seeing how Kotonoha got bullied and did all that stalking....... ugh >.<
That just creeped me out. o.O

Strange thing though is that I didn't really have too many problems with Makoto before in the game, but he pissed me off in the anime. I had (and still have) a more larger problem with Taisuke who I just want to beat to death everytime I see his perverted face. >.<
