Thats why we get stuff like Ever 17.
You say that like it's a bad thing. Personally I'd take the Infinity series over School Days any day.

The problem with visual novels like this is that outside of Japan it's a very niche market. The only ones that do relatively well are the type of hentai dreck companies like Peach Princess and Jast USA generally bring over.

That's so unfair. There are loads of otakus in the West. Sure, probably not as many as in the East... but they'd still make a pretty penny if some games were released over here!
There's a huge difference between otaku, otaku who'd play these kind of games and otaku who'd buy these kind of games. There's just not enough of a market.

Any chance of it making here eventually?

Pretty much zero.

As far as I know, the likes of Air and Fate/Stay Night never made it over to anywhere besides Japan and maybe in other far eastern countries.

I would love to have them but chances are very slim for us in the West, be i tin Europe or the States.

What the crap, I'd have to learn perfect japanese and visit Japan just to buy some games that I wish I could play (because my parents are against buying stuff online).

Licensing something like Fate Stay Night or School Days is very expensive. I doubt there will be enough buyers overseas that would make it worth it. Thats why we get stuff like Ever 17.
