At the end of the episode 12, the second season of Medaka Box was announced. The "Thirteen Party" arc will be animated.

If Season 2 is 12 episodes then each episode will need to over 3 chapters each so I'm hoping this is at least a minimum of 18 episodes for 2 chapters an episode.
(Flask Plan Arc = Chapters 22 - 57 = 36 Chapters divided by 12 = 3 chapters per episode)
That would be way to rushed imo.

It'll be a longer wait for the Minus arc but i wouldn't to see thats 35 chapters condensed into 12 episodes either. so yeah really hope the next Season/s are to be a minimum of 18 eps.

I dont think it was the worst but yes it wasnt far off it if you ask me. I'll certainly watch it but I don't expect to be wowed by it at all.

It's sad that some people can't understand the awesomness of Medaka Box. It's like those heroes that never get noticed for their good deeds.

Judging from your avatar I am guessing that you like hitman reborn, Medaka Box is quite like it in the way that the beginning of the anime is not nearly as good as what it becomes due to change in genre. so you should try get into again with this season.

Try to watch the second season. The first season was just actually nothing. It's just introduction of the characters. The real Medaka Box starts with the flask plan arc and the rest.

Drop it? I only logged on to say this, heh, because no one is going to hate you for dropping something. Feedback is good, complaining just helps no one..

But yeah, i'm happy to watch this animated. This arc and the next are the best, so the filler season- which I thought it was, they could have improvised it to be shorter and then lead into the turn of genres quicker or hinted it at the beggining so new people wouldn't be so surprised. Studio's fault for misinterpretation. *shrug*

This makes me wonder... when was the last time a Shonen Jump adaption DIDN'T get at least 24+ episodes? I can't think of any recently.

I'm so happy and I really hope the Minus Arc gets animated... I really want to know who is going to voice Kumagawa; so far the VAs did a really good job in season one.

Why you ask?
Because they had to get pass the crap to get to the gold.

It's like One Piece or Reborn,it starts out either decent or not so great & gets better as the series go along.
But unlike those fellow WSJ series,Medaka Box had the unfortunate circumstance of getting adapted into 12 episodes which only covered the "crap" part of the series thus giving a "bad" 1st impression to those new to the series & leading some,like yourself,to wonder why the industry would waste their time on adapting this manga series.

Tard I am merely giving out my opinion that instead of the anime industry as a whole waste their time on boring crap like this why not something that NEEDS another season? Such as Haruhi Suzumiya or Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai? School anime genre is what I am focusing on since it is a relevant genre to the subject at hand.
