Father of KyoAni's Animator Horiguchi Yukiko Wins Election For Mayor

According to Jiji.com, Horiguchi Fumiaki was elected to be the mayor of Yawata city. He is the father of Horiguchi Yukiko, the animator of Kyoto Animation. She drew a portrait of her father for the PR poster of the election.

Horiguchi Fumiaki has been serving as the vice mayor of the city since 2010.

If Yukiko made a poster for her father's election, it obviously means she supported him during that time, which i think it's so sweet. ;u;
