Two One-week Hiatuses of Ika Musume 2 Announced

According to the official website, the airing of Shinryaku!? Ika Musume on October 24th and November 7th will be canceled. Episodes 5 and 6 will be aired on October 31st and November 14th, respectively.

Let's be constructive people! Rather than lamenting for this unfortunate delay, you can read the manga chapters beforehand. While at it, from the short preview the tittle for ep5 is:

Isn't that radio controlled!? / Isn't it Tanabata!? / Won't You Play by Yourself!?

You can search them, or maybe someone is kind enough to put which tittle on which chapter?

*shhh* But -they- don't necessarily know that! /tangent: I think it's generally more that it's easier to milk the "will the relationship spark" conflict than the "I see this everyday in other people's relationships" conflict.* And, especially in harems, it's tough to handle official pairings without losing a large portion of the fan-base in shippers.

*I wonder how many of the rom-com/harem/drama fans would watch a show about what looks like their parents arguing all the time. ^^;

Honestly, I expected a lot more noise over this announcement, though. Is everyone just waiting for another rollback and afraid to post, or is Ika seriously a lot less popular than I thought?

I don't know if I'm laughing at myself or at the people upset over one week hiatuses for a couple of episodes, but being someone who reads Hunter x Hunter and Berserk I expect something spanning from several month to a couple of years.

Come now, they'd never confess in the next episode cause that would force the anime/manga to be about a budding relationship and whether it works out or not, which is faaaaar too much work.

Mannn two week hiatus! =/ It stinks but it's better that they pick it back up right away. *sighs* Leaving fans to sit and wait longer it's not great but of course it could be worse.

At least it's episodic comedy. The only real suspense is getting your next "fix", rather than dying to know if XXX dies or YYY -finally- confesses in the next episode. (Granted, most of that is probably irrelevant if you know the source for a given show, but still.)

That isn't to say I'm not disappointed, however. Ika-chaaaaaaa—*splat* ~Ah, heaven.

Its probably something innocent like a late sporting event that might postpone it, like how there was a soccer game that postponed Hidan no Aria/Denpa Onna one week.
