Death Frenzy? Do they even know what they license? Sure, it's about killing but this title does not fit at all. Oh well, like I care about it.
Technically it's the title for it. And it probably came strait out of the marketing department than anywhere else.
Ah, I see. Thanks for the info, TWE. However, Insanity would fit much better I think. I know it basically means the same but Frenzy... Insanity.. Frenzy... Insanity.... Insanity just sounds much better. In my opinion that is.
I was suprised by your original comment. On wkipedia, the entry has always started off with
Shigurui (シグルイ, Shigurui? "Death Frenzy")
and Death Frenzy makes more sense to the ear than Death Insanity, if I were looking through the shelves and ran across the unknown title. Anywho, I'm glad that the show have more public recognition now, as I really would love to see a sequel. As some have stated, I too am a bit suprised that Funimation would choose such a unique, violent, and provocative series!

My bet next is Sky Girls. I'd buy the DVDs my videos were accidently deleted. :(
I need to watch that...
Heh, it's kinda funny. I put this on my plan to watch list no more than five minutes before learning of its license...

very true
but I didn't expect Shigurui to be licenced at all, I mean it was a good series but it's quitte unlike the most series that get licenced
And about the title meaning Death Insanity, you can't always translate everything literally and think it sounds just as good, surely if people used their heads they could have come up with something better...

...and this makes how many licenses for FUNie now? It's like they are blindly licensing to make up for Geneon.

One thing to note if you go to the official website is that a few of the blood splatters on the screen are unmarked links. There's one on the far left that you can click on which leads to a wallpaper. Another slightly to the left of the major blood splatter on the guy's face leads to a synopsis. Towards the bottom near the middle there's one which leads to a teaser clip.

Woohoo, something else I'm not interested in! I like how Funimation is picking up all of these series and yet none of them are things that I've been waiting for.
I know, right?
So where's my Baccano...
