According to animator Abe Misao, anime production studio Studio DOVE in Iwaki city has been working normally despite the breakdown of the lifelines due to the earthquake and the nuclear power plant failure. Abe visited Iwaki to supply foods to her parents and dropped by the studio. Studio DOVE is located 42.9 kilometers (26.7 miles) away from the failed power plant and dojin mangaka Morikawa Haru said the offices of DOVE were damaged by the earthquake. The studio is the main subcontractor of SUNRISE and Toei Animation and they are currently involved in the production of Cardfight!! Vanguard and Suite Precure♪.

Iwaki city has been in predicament because the supply of necessities of life has been nearly stopped. Transporters refuse to enter the city fearing the radiation.

They are doing Suite Precure and are 28 miles from certain doom, oh god please DOVE evacuate now, radiation is no joke. I'm glad they are dedicated and all but their safety is tops on the priority list and they need not be near the plant, one person from the industry already died, we need no more deaths of people in the industry.

I do respect their dedication but maybe they should think about safety first. Losing people from the anime industry is something that i don't wanna see.

If these guys can continue working so close to that mess it makes you wonder why oh why did SHAFT have to postpone Madoka indefinitely...

^this
Lol, I don't think it's pure dedication. And do you know SHAFT's exact circumstances? I doubt it.

^After the earthquake, SHAFT announced(it was also in the news sections at MAL) that everything is all right and they just need to gather the equipment so I am also towards the 'internal issues' reason of why Madoka was postponed + the actual content of the last two episodes.
Anyway, great guys we have there. As another thing, I don't think they are the only once since Japan has many (of what I know) people like them :)

I really think that Madoka being postponed has nothing to do with the earthquake dilemma.

You have got to be kidding me.

I really think that Madoka being postponed has nothing to do with the earthquake dilemma. It has to be internal issues and this news was out right after director Shinbo Akiyuki announced a Madoka spin-off.

I do respect their dedication but maybe they should think about safety first. Losing people from the anime industry is something that i don't wanna see.

Hardcore. Maybe they should try to find other offices for the time being though...
