Jesus Christ, choices like that determine who dies or who lives. This show just knows no bounds on pulling its gimmicks.

On the other hand, there's another character with a special power appearing. Defeating the Emperor still seems like a long shot. I still find the comedy in this show to be timed awkwardly though. And the story itself just seems all over the place.

In the second episode, everything became less chaotic and the rules of the game were more clear, which is good news.

I’m still confused on how the revival worked. Did they come back to life because the dead were part of the majority in that question? Or was some condition reached that allowed them to be revived with that question?

Also this feels like it’s moving very quickly. For any manga readers, are they cutting stuff out or is it always this fast paced?

they are trying to figure out why they got revived thats the point, we dont know for sure yet. also, not a manga reader but remember the game ends when one person is left alive think about how many times people will need to die for that to happen so it will feel a little fast paced

This was better than the first episode, it was better paced overall mainly thanks to the conversation between Saneatsu and glasses gun shooty man, although the first bit of this episode was a bit fast with the whole everyone comes back to life and whoops they’re dead again lol. And there was also the introduction of that red haired lady and purple haired girl, it seemed like they might be important but it looked like they died in that car explosion very shortly after they were introduced, I guess once their dirty deed was done they were also done lol.

But beyond this I thought was pretty good, glasses man (it’s too early for me to remember names lol) had a lot of interesting things to say. First, he revealed who did the gender question at the end of episode 1, and damn it’s a shame it was the cutie with the hair clips, her manless world failed thankfully tho. And he revealed some cool things regarding the “rights”, it sucks that you gotta give up a body part to use them tho, man’s got no balls now lol, that’s gotta be weird af. And thanks to these rights he has infinite ammo, and that one headphones kid can just make people answer his questions and also be unable to hurt him with these rights, I’m just wondering what he had to give up for such OP powers.

It’s unfortunate that it looks like a lot of folks dropped off this already but I’m interested in seeing what happens next, also that ED is a certified banger, just took me a 2nd listen and it’s one of my favorites this season lol.

I can't even be mad at Sudo for killing the crazed man hater. She was too dangerous to leave wandering around given their situation.

He couldn't say pinky? He went eunch? Explains the kick not having any effect.

So of them have a cheat skill. Can't the little blue haired boy just reject the Tasuketsu all together and sop it? I think he's why they revived. He rejected the outcome.

Welp , this is some of the most confusing/ chaotic death game genre i've seen so far with so many exposition dump, but without a proper exposition setup.

However, it's not a boring show, and the characters are cute to look at, so I'd keep watching it and witness how it turns out in the end :P

I was excited for where they were gonna go after taking that wild swing at the end of the first episode. Turns out, glasses guy must be the one writing this cuz they didn't have the balls to follow through. The revival mechanic could still have been interesting if it'd been revealed later in the season, but all they did was neuter the stakes. Anyways...

First, english is not my native language, so be kind.
I feel everything is going to fast.
How they did revive?
Why the old man died after revive?
Rights trade for parts of the body?
Why trade scrotum instead appendix?

This anime is weird and mysterious.
I hope to see Op rights soon

@Netbug This is the problem. It at least kind of made sense by the end of the episode, but the rules feel very off the cuff. Something as counterintuitive as the revival working and outright saying the presented rules weren't right makes deduction close to impossible. And that's before we throw in dozens of totally random rights. A good mystery needs to be possible to predict.

MUCH better pacing and direction than the first episode. I’m hopeful!
- The first half of the episode was soooo confusing
- Luckily the smart guy knows what’s up.
- Removing his reproductive system was such a smart move. I love how they set that up in the first episode with the ball kick being ineffective
- I don’t really understand the revival thing. I’ll do some research
- I recon this will end up as a 6/10 anime, from the first episode I thought it would be a 4 lol.

Okay, that answers the 'mass death reversal' from last episode, it just happens as long as a question is asked that requires the people previously killed by the thing to answer and they be the majority. The idea that the Emperor doesn't know the rules themselves is interesting, as is someone having an immunity idol a rights envelope thing before this started.

Kid who sacrificed his nuts to get infinite ammo, nice strategy!

Current crack theory: MC's Mom got Isekai'd and came back to become a death game running Emperor.

@kyronee

They are currently at ~2 million people. Without including revives which complicate things, more than half the population dies each time since the majority dies. In the best case scenario, where exactly half the population dies each day, the game would last about 21 (= log_2(2,000,000)) more days. If only 25% survive each time, this drops to about 11 (= log_4(2,000,000)) days only. In the case that some freak wants to be the sole survivor they could place a question where the majority is >99%, which could accelerate the game very quickly. But if they're trying to end the game within a 12 episode season with 1 day per episode, I would agree it's a bit tight. The pacing already feels a bit fast. Well at least the amount of information given to the viewers is a lot compared to the short timeframe in this episode.

@CaffieneKitty

I might be interpreting this incorrectly, but if anyone killed by Tasuketsu is on the majority side, they would get revived.

Which means that there are only 2 possible ways that this could end with exactly 1 person remaining (unless the humans all kill each other):

  1. Minority: 1 living person, and everyone that is dead. Majority: Everyone alive except 1.
In this case, the 1 living person survives.
  2. Minority: All dead people except 1. Majority: Everyone alive, and 1 dead person.
In this case, one dead person revives, while all living people die.

This seems pretty ridiculous, but it is consistent with what they've explained so far. The rules of Tasuketsu are still in the process of being revealed with new loopholes being found, so they'll probably explain the revival process of people killed by Tasuketsu in more depth later on.

Oh god this is BORING. Not only is it boring, but it's low quality as fuck. Super generic character design, generic plot and even technically issues; around like 10 minutes into the episode there's some audio issue and you can hear a high-pitched buzzing. Whatever the fuck is this crap?

Also, there's NO WAY a person can come back to life after being dead for 48 hours. By then, at room temperature, your body has begun to rot, unless the "dying" part is actually people going into a coma.
Pretend there's something flashy and cool here.

Yeah it looks more like people are falling asleep than actually dying. So they might actually just go into coma. It's weird that emperor has powers, but he needs to use them however the participants want? Participants are the ones submitting the questions in postboxes it seems, and emperor just do his thing after every question.

Usually I like stories where the audience is in the dark just like the characters. Enjoy the challenge to think things out like the characters. I am not sure why I dislike this mystery story. Perhaps it is because the stakes are life or death. Or maybe, Characters start explaining their clever insights that only seem to move suspicion from one person to another.
That along with other "survivors" acting like they have true knowledge of the Tasuuketsu without any corroboration.
I will stick around for a few more episodes and see what develops.

I figured the main male character wouldn't actually be dead and would get out of it somehow. Except he was dead, they were all dead, and then they're alive? Comes across more as a dumb ass pull than a compelling mystery. At least they suggested that was more of a one time thing. If someone could just gather the dragon balls and revive people in the death game what would the point be.

The gals just casually hanging around the male dead like they weren't bothered a bit was bizarre and not in a good way.

Still a confused mess, but I did like the conversation between the MC and the man with the gun. Made it feel like this is actually maybe going somewhere. R.O.N. is doing the OST so I'll stick around for that if nothing else since he's done a few soundtracks I really love.

Beyond stupid. Author is too stupid to write a smart character. The amount of nonsense the characters spew when "thinking" is astonishing. Almost every logical deduction made by the characters can be dissected to reveal that they'd have no reason to think or say those things.
- Why would you think the Emperor could be defeated?
- Why was no-one brainstorming questions that could be asked that would ensure they were in the minority?
- Wouldn't it be easy to ask a question that would ensure that only you would be in the minority? E.g. "Did you pat yourself on the head over 50 times yesterday?" (After having done that already yesterday).
- Was that gun guy's plan really just to kill people? So smart, genius level thinking!
- Why drag the bodies of the dead guys all to some random bus stop location?
- Did the fake dead boy really pretend to be dead while dragged all the way there? Lol
- Why would you question someone's choice to having a gun? It's the best weapon to threaten people with.
- Why would you know there was 1 male that survived?
- How did the red haired girl find the 1 male?
- How did that male survive? Is their Prime Right of rejection so powerful that they can reject losing in the game itself??
- How did the crazy man-hater girl know that men were the majority and thus be the ones to die from her question instead of women?
- How did that question bring them back to life? If the dead are included in the game then they would be the majority, so is the dumb logic that if the dead are killed they come back to life?
- Of all the people in the game why would you suspect the Emperor to be in your group?

With the change of location from Nakano to Suginami, finding the blue postboxes is important, as well as survival...which Saneatsu and the rest were brought back to life, because of Prime Right? I swear the decisions made are so convoluted that wbile only thinking of survival is important, strategy is too as well.

Saneatsu's backstory is pretty absurd: a Truck-kun like tragedy which cost him his parents, and his friendship with Ryuta Narita reaching out to him to make a friend out of him. But when it comes to the others, trying to figure out who's the Emperor by their Prime Right and Right (i.e. the Right to Rejection), at least through Sudo, there is some alignment to how powers can be obtained through sacrifice. Add in Isshiki's group who has a real grasp of Tasuketsu whereas the Emperor doesn't, Saneatsu at least has a lead thanks to Sudo's explanation, even if it's not the best.

This is beyond convoluted, it's as if the game NEEDS you to understand without giving away too much context, which DOES NOT work. We're SO lost.

@IzanaSolos bro, I wholeheartedly agree...but I'll be sticking all the way to the end.

The fluidity of the anime is awful

It seams like nothing is connected to the other scene, at one point we are looking at a building and then we are having an important conversation and then we are in another different time set.

The anime itself is good (as for now) but it feels annoying feeling like it's some kind of edit with the most important moments or whatever
