| Dilly defeated seven ninjas all by herself... safe to say she is NOT a force to be reckoned with. Back to the CG mechs, I suppose. Oh well, the somewhat good animation from last episode was enjoyable while it lasted. I must say, this show has a superb soundtrack. Anyway, Kagari giving Mari that Kakashi-like advice was interesting. You know, sometimes a code is more like guidelines than actual rules. This episode was actually one of my favorites in a while, in my opinion. The direction was great. e.g, the beach scene perfectly captured Mari's essence, and the warmth of her heart and the bonds of the special ninjas felt like calm waves. But goodness, now that people are being informed about this... I wonder what repercussions will follow. I'm honestly surprised that WBD would let this story slide, considering its deeper message seems to be "corporations = evil". Also, their secrets got leaked. As planned. It seems Mike had this planned from the beginning, considering he allied with the Secretary of Defense. He really knows his politics. A fight scene with Mike was the last thing I expected to see animated well, but I'll take it! Then there's this guy, Joseph, saying, "DiD tHey SerIoUslY thInK THat I'D GO dOwn WithoUT a FiGHht?" No, but they probably hoped. Anyway, it's no surprise that the finale will be Higan vs. Yamaji. I mean, it's been set up since the first episode. Let's see how everything ends. |

| Dilly despite putting up a decent fight against Ymamji and his ninjas ended up dying for Joseph. So the doctor that was helping Higan was a the deceased ninja chief in disguise. We get a bit of exposition of how the ninja organization struggled to adapt over time as the ninja code was all they had and it nothing more than just shackles for the mind, body, and soul just like what Higan is experiencing right now. While Mike was being interrogated by the FBI, the hacker was successful in leaking Auza's dirty secrets on the internet for everyone to see in hopes of getting his former partner to help him take Joseph down. However, Joseph had one more trick up his dirty little sleeve and that was to hold the world hostage by sabotaging the reactors. Once again Yamaji was one step ahead of Joseph as he sent his ninja army to seize Auza's technology and attacking FBI headquarters which will lead them to eventually target the White House next. Higan returns to Auza city to face Yamaji who is now equipped with his own Gosoku Gear. I have a feeling there might be more to Ninja Kamui with the possibility of another season depending on how the last episode plays out. |

| I find myself unable to really care right now about this over the top series. Dilly's sacrifice should have been sad, but instead it was just "meh". The old chief died? But something about a cat with 9 lives and therefore he doesn't have powers? How does this make any sense at all? If you're going to be silly and over the top, commit to that and don't try to be serious and explanatory at the same time. It's jarring and confusing and really not entertaining. Sad, first few episodes I thought I'd like it but it's kind of slowly deflated like a blow up mattress with that tiny hole you can never find. |

| Just finished watching Shogun yesterday; and Ik it's not at all a fair comparison, but man. What a difference in writing quality. It never even had to be deep and profound- all it had to do was continue the hype and energy that the first couple episodes had. But instead it just became... kind of lame. It's sad how it quickly went from F*CK YEAH, NINJAS!!! to now wondering why we're watching this. I'm excited for next week not because it's the finale, but because I can finally set it as "completed" and be done with it. |
