| I didn't read the manga so I know nothing about this but I shed tears at "and you were always there in those beautiful memories" :"") I don't know how many eras of life she's lived through and deaths she's witnessed, so maybe it's hard for her to constantly feel sad when seeing someone die because the human lifespan is so short. But nevertheless, those 10 years that felt short to her also felt so meaningful and precious to her. After all, we can't escape a goodbye, but all the happiness and good things in it will be carried with us until that time comes. What an exceptional first episode. This is exactly the type of anime that I would really enjoy. ♡ |

| A lot to like in this episode. Everything looks great and I appreciated the detail in the castle town down to the chicken plucking in the background. The music is nothing too flashy or ambitious but still stands out as quite beautiful and rich. The pacing was perfect, took it's time not to feel rushed but still accomplished a fair amount. This party is nothing but strangers to us this early so Himmel's death didn't really impact me much and Frieren so far isn't winning any personality contests, but the series has showed some great strengths to build off of so I'm hopeful. |
| Great story Great choice of music Great view of life from an Elf point of view, damn it makes me feel lonely and old, when you think you'll outlive all your friends. The only thing that annoyed the shit out of me they used low effort quality computer graphic, instead of hand drawn animated graphics. That was very disappointing, the story is great, but the graphic, it's very hard to watch. I never liked the Netflix low style low effort anime graphics. |
| I like the OP song Didn't feel it at first but it started feeling pretty appealing further and further into the episode. I actually know how it feels to have large amounts of time pass without it seeming like much, not like Frieren does but to a lesser degree so I can well understand what that might be like. Seems relatively well animated, some scenes have smaller movements added with some fluidity to them which is a nice compensation for the minimal shading. |

| I never got around to reading the manga but I can tell this is a series I would stick with. I like the theme of "time stops for no one." It really puts things into perspective about how much time really have and how little or how much that amount of time affects our ability to connect with one another. |

| Really pretty visuals, but the characters are a bit dull. Like they're written to be serviceable to what's going on in the story but not anything more. I think the episode was still enjoyable for how overall well made it is though. |

Rated 9.03 on here at the moment? That's ridiculous, it's not nearly that good, after the first episode I'm on the fence over whether I'll even keep watching.

| Good start. Looks like a chilling anime. Sorta have mushoku vibe going on in this episode. I heard people watched the 2 hours version while I'm only seeing individual eps on my end. This yoasobi's song is alright. I liked idol by yoasobi more tbh. Just my opinion. As for the main chara's VA, her voice is more closer to Chise from MahoYome than Anya from SpyxFam. Let's see if 3 eps will show anything significantly about why the show is really popular now other than popularity due to mult-eps released. |

| This debut is as wonderful as I hoped it to be if not more. I never read the manga but wanted for years, and I had so many expectations for this adaptation to deliver something good and different, special. Certainly my expectations were met, having only seen 2 episodes, I m really liking it, the first episode especially made me feel a lot during the latter half. The real journey of Frieren starts now and I m eager to see how she will develop over time. Also, I really appreciate how they did that ending, the song is so good and the visuals so beautiful, a sight for the eyes. |
