| Actually amazed the change was done in only 5 hours lmao. I'm really curious to see if this will have a positive effect in the series' popularity, I have been keeping track of that for a good while already (we finally hit 9th place in total members this season yesterday!) So this change is very interesting. This one is definitely cooler so there are chances it will grab the attention of people who would have just glanced at its old pic and ignored it. |

| It is an interesting effect - classic judging book by its cover? I for one read the synopsis before deciding whether or not I'll try the show out and Vivy and 86 stood out from the rest this season right away. When I read original Vivy synopsis the first thing that sprung to my mind is that either this is going to be a full on post-apocalypse where Vivy is just an insane bot hunting down the remnants of the humanity while being a creepy laughing bogeyman or a tragic tale of someone being manipulated by a time-traveler. It definitely exceeded my expectations with the production quality, but did not surprise me at all with the plot. However, when I showed this show to my friends most of them instantly discarded it as something silly - blue haired robot idol? talking teddy bear?.. Visual first impressions are very important in a medium which is primarily visual, considering how much stuff is being outputted these days. Average consumer doesn't have the time to check multiple episodes of each new show through multiple mediums every season to see if they'll enjoy something so this happens. |

| I do believe wholeheartedly majority of people judge what they first see and make a quick assessment based on their preferences. A prime example is youtube; almost everyone click solely on what the thumbnail or the title appeals to them. clickbait The new image fits well. |

| Good point, it really did look like one of those idol anime which are usually located at the bottom and are definitely not everyone's cup of tea. As Gigguk said it was also placed very low in the seasonal anime list but now it appears to be higher. How does that work, I wonder? Are they lined up by the rating or popularity? |
