There's lots of anime that take place in other countries or have foreign characters and I wanted to ask if you liked the way anime portrays your country and the people in it.

Personally idk any anime that portrays my country.

I honestly don't know any anime set in Canada. I now know 18 anime related to Canada thanks to MoonDragon72 and inim.
And apart from Hetalia which stereotypes every nation and the skater dude from Yuri on Ice, I don't know any Canadian characters either.
Also Langa from the new SK8 anime is Canadian, but he looks and acts like a typical shounen protagonist from Japan.

According to Unbreakable Machine Doll (too lazy to look up the Japanese name) in merry old England we fight each other all day & night with waifus & dragons, the old LNWR Locomotives were spot-on too. And yeah honestly it's cool seeing my home nation in Anime (loosely)

I could also say K-ON! Movie too but all they do there is sightsee and get scared by us creepy British folk.

And the British fleet in Azur Lane is portrayed as prim and proper and we all drink tea, which isn't true at all.......we also drink Coffee!.

Malaysia
I think they mentioned twice in Danshi Kokousei no Nichijou in the ping pong fight
Bahasa Indonesia (similar to Bahasa Malaysia)
also mentioned in Nichijou multiple times. "Selamat Pagi" which means good morning in both Bahasa Malaysia (Malay language) and Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian)

Not overtly but Germany and England have gotta be the most frequently portrayed countries in anime history

Kinda sorta. It takes place in a fictional South American country that is heavily influenced by Brazil.

Everything I've seen depicting America in one way or another is usually pretty on-point and often insulting, which I appreciate very much. We deserve it.

Only specific example I can think of right now is Pop Team Epic's depiction of New York and its "dazzling nightlife".

The "Masters" in Masou Gakuen HxH are all Americans. It also has a Character from my home nation in it too. The anime is supposed to be pretty bad though (I've only read the Manga, currently reading the LN.)

We Americans are usually portrayed as a joke in anime. Most of the time we are protrayed as a joke in media because we are one

Mostly for dumb stuff like how we're like the country with the highest obesity rate, gun violence, and just how weird our culture overall is

Assuming you are talking about the U.S., it has some of the best universities in the world. Even if you don't include the Ivy leagues, there is UC Berkeley and UCLA which are considered top tier in the world.

However, I do agree the U.S. healthcare system is not as great or affordable when compared to its neighbor, Canada.

I only see one anime that mentions Indonesia in it, and it's Grisaia no Rakuen. They portrays it as a country that has one of the richest people out there. Dunno if that's right or wrong here. Never cared that much of people's economic succession

Monster is largely set in Germany and the Czech Republic, and its portrayal of those countries is pretty damn true to life, it would seem. It's got its positive sides, with gorgeous landscapes and jaw-dropping architecture and historic universities and awe-inspiring monuments, and then there's also the seedy slums and abandoned former-East German facilities that stand as local marks of shame.

Naoki Urasawa did his fucking homework, because it truly feels like he captured a very real portrait of Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Munich, and Prague.

Hana Yori Dango has a short arc set in Canada, although I don't think the anime did very much 'portraying' since it mostly takes place in a wintery cabin somewhere in northern BC. I do specifically remember one of the drama adaptations showing a short glimpse of "Vancouver" as this blizzardy icy wasteland which really made me chuckle. Makino (MC) does almost die from getting stuck in an icy blizzard so I'd say it was accurate.
