Interview with Jouji Nakata. He believes Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel III is his most important work as Kirei. He feels it is the last time he will be able to play "Kirei Kotomine" of Fate/Stay Night so he wants to play his role without regrets. https://anime.eiga.com/news/110785 https://twitter.com/KaroshiMyriad/status/1242264964775043072?s=20 It implies that all 3 routes of FSN has already been adapted and that Jouji Nakata no longer has roles to play Kirei of FSN :'( at least we still got Rasputin T_T |

The first route sucks dick anyway although it would be nice to see saber's fight with rider with some high budget animation. At least the deen version had nice music so it ain't all bad. |

In spite of all the hype Ufotable Fate adaptations have been inspiring over the years, truth is that if you look at the actual number of Fate anime series that have been released, and compare it to the number of series that were actually done, by Ufotable, you'll notice that the folks have only been doing or picking up the really mainstream adaptations, and the proportion of their overall involvement in Fate adaptations is... minimal. As far as purely mainstream adaptations go though, this was always destined to be the end of the line. The closest other thing to "mainstream" is Fate/Grand Order, which is honestly miles away from Fate/Stay Night and Fate/Zero, but given that A-1 and Cloverworks have already picked those up, RIP those hopes as well... Overall, I can't really get myself to think of this as a major blow to anything. Ufotable's work in Fate is well regarded, but it isn't everything, as has been made abundantly clear. The only shame that I can bother to name is that the Fate route of Stay Night is condemned to be remembered by the Studio Deen adaptation and a certain CGI dragon. However, this has also been addressed in the past, and we know by this point that the chances of a re-adaptation of the Fate route is out of the running. Pity, but nothing we haven't come to live with. Dull_Lull said: He feels it is the last time he will be able to play "Kirei Kotomine" of Fate/Stay Night so he wants to play his role without regrets. I hate the fact that the Fate route will always be remembered by the Deen adaptation by those who never read the VN. It deserves to have a remake. If they did it for UBW then what's keeping them from giving it to Fate as well especially since it is the face of the franchise's route? Carnival Phantasm season 2 ain't coming any time soon as long as Type-Moon keeps neglecting their non-Fate products. |

Neutral on this tbh... I feel like if they wanted to make a Fate route remake, it should've been done years ago before HF. I'm kinda over it and UBW is an ok-ish start point. Plus, LE is a thing, which is the main Saber thing I wanted animated. I just want to see FHA and I think I'll be satisfied for a couple years |

What the fuck is wrong with you people? He is a great voice actor but he is just that. He cant possibly know what ufotable is planning, or even worse, what Aniplex is planning to do with what remains of FSN or FHA. He "feels".That is all. The only thing that it implies is that he has no idea if they will do Fate route of FHA(flashbacks with Bazett). Is it hard for him to believe they arent planning anything else? We as fans alaso believed the same for so long. |

Well, opinions... ^^ I watched the FSN anime long before finishing the VN entirely, and loved the franchise thanks to the anime first. Yes. To me it was an enjoyable show despite Emiya being boring at times, I was satisfied with the conclusion, a serie very well accompanied by the unforgettable and beautiful OST. I hated and loved Kirei, who's easily one of my favorite characters because he gave the tone and depth of the entire franchise, and I guess it's kinda reasonable for Nakata to feel that way. |

Well, Shirou's routes are complete. So yeah, this is a definite ending, unless the Fate crew decide to try plots on Shirou's future. It's curious that Nakata considers Heaven's Feel his best work as Kotomine though. I'd argue that Zero gave the best of Kotomine. |

React to what Tokiomi tells him, react to what he finds out about Kiritsugu, react to what Gil tells him. Even after he tries to get control of thr situation the focus is on the characters he ruins not himself. Kirei in FSN acts; he is the one making other character react to his actions.Especially in FSN. Also, Zero changed his backstory, FSN Kirei hadalready awakened to his true self before the start of the 4th War. |

At the end when he realizes his true self Nakata did an amazing job. |

In F/Z due to his great interactions with Kirei and Rider he becomes a more interesting character. One has to be grateful for Urobuchi, he basically improved every character from F/SN (even Shirou since we see so little of him) and even used the premise better. lol |

One has to be grateful for Urobuchi, he basically improved every character from F/SN (even Shirou since we see so little of him) and even used the premise better. lol Kirei was a good character in Fate/Zero but he is a thousand times better in Heaven's Feel, at least in the visual novel, though I can't speak for the movies, since I haven't watched them yet. It was precisely because Kirei was a sadomasochist that he could train his body enough to become extremely strong. He would have to be very stupid not to notice the he was the weird one as what he liked did not correspond to the common sense taught by his father in the Church, only to realize it after being manipulated by another man. Although their conversations were indeed very enjoyable, the truth is that the eristic used by Gilgamesh to convince Kirei to stray from the path of God and accept his sadistic desires was ridiculous. Kirei's story made a lot more sense in Heaven's Feel than in Zero, and the fact that he didn't appear much in the two previous routes was one of the key elements that made the turn of events so interesting in Heaven's Feel, with Kirei becoming a very complex character. Also, it is in the last part of Heaven's Feel that one sees the best of Kirei, so if you're only speaking for the two first movies, then you should at least wait for the third one before judging. I already watched the trailer of the third movie, and I know that the greatest plot twists involving Kirei haven't occurred yet. Fate/Hollow Ataraxia would be nice, though, to be honest, I would prefer a movie with Kirei and Bazzet as the main cast written by Kinoko Nasu with a more complex plot, since the flashback in Hollow Ataraxia was too short, and I hated how for whatever reason Kirei had to die and not survive in any of the possibilities of future that allowed the characters that died in Fate/Stay Night to be alive and live together in Hollow Ataraxia I agree that most of the spin offs are garbage, by the way. Lord El Melloi was especially ridiculous with the effeminate characters and Waver preaching scientificism all the time. |

It my take some time, but I could see the Fate route being adapted again eventually. The Fate franchise can't stop the milk and I don't see why they wouldn't want to readapt that route and give their favorite Saber time in the spotlight. I am not sure ufotable would adapt it, but we could only hope. Either way, it'll have a high budget so I am sure it'll look and sound great. The Fate/Grand Order anime is very beautiful and has amazing animation too. |

U should know that, fate became insanley popular because of its original visual novel released not cause of any of the anime. Theres only so much an anime can do fitting in description after description of explanations in the VN. Zero was much easier to adapt cause its a shorter light novel. VN thrived cause of first person POVs directed by characters which the anime could not at all do identically. |

Maybe if you weren't such a low IQ dumbass who dropped out of elementary school you'd probably realize the only Fate anime ufotable has done after UBW were the HF movies and a cute slice-of-life spin-off. They've done Tales of Zestiria, God Eater, Touken Ranbu and KNY since then... you know... "new franchises" but I don't expect your expired brain to even catch all of that since you've been just saying shit anyway. |

tsukihime's ufotable adaptation: |
"I like young-girl sexual creations, Lolicon is just one hobby of my many hobbies," he says. I ask what his wife, standing nearby, thinks of his "hobby". "She probably thinks no problem," he replies. "Because she loves young boys sexually interacting with each other." |

Unless you want to read the VN the Deen anime is still your best bet if you want to experience the whole thing. It's a decent adaptation of the Fate route, the main point is there, you get to understand Saber and some key things about Shirou that were only hinted at in the other 2 routes, plus it also expands some on Kiritsugu's and Kirei's characters, even in the anime you should get that. Plus the ending is just incredible, and that part was well adapted. Yes you need to keep in mind that it's not done by ufo, yeah we fucking get it nerds, the animation's not silky smooth and fight scenes are trash compared to ufo. This doesn't ruin the anime, if you think it does you don't get the point of the Fate franchise, it's not just about the action...The artstyle itself though is more true to the original work than any of the ufotable adaptaions by a LONG shot. It also tried to add some extra stuff from UBW and HF, which didn't turn out great, but it doesn't ruin the point of it at all. Saber's route is adapted fine. Your best bet is still the VN imo but if you don't want to read that the anime is fine. I actually regret putting off watching it for so long because of all these toxic weebs hating on it so hard. I don't think you should base your decision on these people who are trying to make it look like trash just because it's not as good as the ufo adaptations. |

This comment needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt because for this person, the original F/SN adaption by DEEN is top5 anime ever. Of course i'm also biased myself just like everyone else, but i'm definitely not an UFOtable fanboy, Kara no Kyoukai is a pretty weak film series, Kimetsu no Yaiba is awful and i didn't quite like HF movie 1. Plus i watched the original F/SN and UBW movie by DEEN before the franchise had anything to do with UFOtable, but as you can see from my favorites, Fate/Zero is what made me a fan of the series. YES, the Light Novel not written by Nasu or Type Moon is the best thing out of the Nasuverse. Shirou is such a pain in the ass main character, he's super stupid and keeps getting in front of Saber because she's a girl, "i'll protect her" even though in this route he can do basically nothing, can't he think straight, she's a super powered legend and you don't even know about Avalon, plus if you die she'll also lose the war, you dimwit. I know it's taken out of contest, but the "people die when they are killed" meme, encapsulates Shirou's character in this route, perfectly. At least in UBW he can back it up, making his character look less retarded. |
