Raw is out, we have an action chapter this time (no Eren's pov yet)

The alliance just slaughtered everyone, Falco lost control of his jaw titan, Gabi shot Floch and fell into the sea, and finally the alliance boarded a boat, but Magath and Shadis sacrificed themselves so that no one would follow them.

Well, see you all next month, hopefully we get an Eren's chapter next.

Falco's titan transformation had quite an explosion. His titan design was great as well.
Yet another chapter with alliance's action. Well it is important I agree but not showing Eren is definitely inviting more salty reactions from the most. At this point, everyone is growing impatient of waiting to see Eren and Historia.
Also, there should be at least a panel or so showing us what happened to Zeke.
Though I am very sure that Isayama is keeping the best things for the last and all this buildup will lead to a pretty amazing conclusion.
Not sure if Floch can survive that shot.
Not a big issue but it is getting a bit annoying that gabi is always given the spotlight shot. First Sasha, then Eren and now Floch. As a character, she has redeemed herself enough already and I don't think there is a need for her to be the one to hit the most important shot again and again.
So Magath and Shadis sacrificed themselves. It made sense for Magath however for Shadis it seems kind of forced.

My only disappointment was Shadis and Magath's death. Unnecessary death to prove alliance's worth. Felt cheep, like it used to be in earlier days.
Armin is becoming more pathetic day by day.

Good to see old 3DMG actions and soldiers blood. I wonder if we ever get to see Arifumi Imai to work on these contents.
Great to see Falco's titan in work.

So many old things came back, I guess that's why it's called "Nostalgia".

Everybody else is saying how Falco design looks cool, honestly it's extremely ugly, way more ugly than Ymir Titan form, it's first time I have seen a Titan and my first impression was "disgusting".

I would rather Falco not to transform too often, what a horrible thing to look at. I will wait for translation to give my input on the rest of the chapter.

Falco's titan looks cool, he was uncontrollable just like eren was back in season 1 in trost arc. Man i was hoping that floch would die in this chapter but i don't think so. Anyways, looks good as always, can't wait for the next chapter! I hope we would get to see eren, zeke and historia.

Lol at the first panel the design of the Jaw Titan looked really odd but it grow on me in such a short time.

Floch finally got what he deserved but I don't think that he's dead.

When does the next chapter comes out? I've heard that it got pushed back but I don't remember if the source was reliable or not.

Very Good Chapter, better than the previous one.
the action and the Emotion were on point, hope Armin will got a major role in the next chapter and I think this chapter was the last on the alliance arc.

Chapter too fast paces IMO, but nice pretty nice overall, Isayama looked like he was eager to close magath's and keith charachter arc anyway, and even if magath redeems hismelf with his sacrifice, keith death feels very reinerish, he had no rason to stay on the boat but for the desire of having a glorious death, where his action would feel heroic. It feels kinda forced and not really the end of a hero.

Awful chapter, it's been nothing but downhill since the amazing chapter 122, but this really is a new low for the series (together with 128). I hope that Isayama can redeem the series in the last few chapters, but it's looking very very grim.
This whole Alliance focus of the last few months has really dragged the manga down. We could've gotten a great ending by now, but he just keeps trying to make us symphatize with people who are not interesting in the slightest.

100% agree.
I still think we should give Isayama a chance because he pulled some crazy twists in the past and this building up alliance might be just to make it feel that much better when they finally fail, but i'm also worried that we'll get "good" guys win and save the world ending.

Didn't felt force to me, it seems this is the fate he wanted to end as a hero, I guess its fitting he is no longer just a bystander.

Woah its uprising arc all over again it seems. I remember seeing these comments on a regular basis back in those days. A story needs build up this being a monthly manga doesn't help as well, but these premature comments about downhill is exaggerated.

The first two volumes of snk has always been build up just like the beginning of uprising arc, also when we started following the cast of characters from Marley chapter 91-97 and how a lot of people were bitching that the series has gone downhill and that it should have ended when they reach the basements blah, blah and then when the Marley arc reaches its high point all of sudden all the negative comments were gone, rinse and repeat. The same thing is happening again.

You guys should notice that there is a pattern now, slow build up to a new arc, monthly wait makes it even worst people say the series has gone down hill because of a couple of chapters are slow and are mostly build up but you know that this will be worth this is leading up the finale after all.

I like this chapter honestly, just hate the look of Falco titan. Yuck!

@Rider9530

What? We are getting the next chapter next month.

@IronGhost115

I think Eren will die, I think a good chunk of the population will be killed by Eren but certainly not every one will die, that will be too edgy and I don't think that will fit the story narrative.

Would you be happy if everyone dies in the battle including Eren and the Alliance? Because I don't think Isayama is going to go one way it's going to be in the middle grown, because if Isayama goes the route you hate the most plenty of people will hate it and call it cliche but if he goes the full kill them all route another group of people would be upset too and call Isayama all type of name.

If I was Isayama I would go the middle grown route.

I hope Floch is dead...I doubt it tho.
At this point I really don’t know how the fuck is this manga is going to end. Who’s winning in the end ? Eren or the others. Isayama wouldn’t give them this much screen time to just kill them off in the end right ? but GOD if they succeed in killing Eren and this manga get a happy ending I swear to god I’m personally going to japan to beat the shit out of Isayawa

OOOF, those final pages... And I was just starting to like Magath. Wasn't expecting Keith to die as well though....

Anyway, Gabi is the fucking MVP, she must have dunked like 4 characters from the main cast at this point, potentially killing 2 (almost 3, but Eren just wasn't killed because of the PATHS thing, and only because of that, otherwise he would be dead meat).

Fuck Floch, I bet he isn't even dead and will find a way to sabotage things again (if anything, he might have infiltrated the ship holding on the airplane or something).

Really intense chapter, what a massacre. 4.25/5

And now, just for fun, since there's always something to meme on, in each chapter (not mine, but still a must to post) <3

RIP Keith Shadis and Magath, that was a really sad scene. Shadis thought he wasn't special, that he was a mere bystander, but in the end he died as a hero even if no one but Magath was there to witness and recognize it T_T

Gabi shooting Floch was so satisfying. Please let him be dead Isayama.

I wonder if we will switch to Eren's POV next. Will Eren, Mikasa and Armin ever meet again before the ending, considering they're now on the ship? I hope that's the case, personally.

Hope the anime can fix a lot of the pacing, this was a bit too fast lol.

@keragamming I get what you're saying and honestly I wouldn't wanna see eren just destroy the world and that's the end.
Perfect ending for me would simply be something different and unexpected, something nobody is guessing right now. Take something like future memories. Nobody could predict that and it was great twist because when you look at it it was build up behind the scenes and they were hints about it but not enough for people to start guessing.

Ending that's being built in the shadows without us realizing it and (hopefully) satisfying both sides would make AOT an absolute masterpiece. That's why even after couple of chapters that I felt were meh I still have hope that Isayama will deliver.

I'm pretty pretty sure that that's the case, Eren isn't just destroying the world, he for sure has a secret agenda with what's he's doing.

Maybe he saw in the future memories some conditions to met before a final solution is reached? I don't know, but Isayama is a proper genius so I'm ready to be surprised.

Disagree with Shadis and Magath. Their deaths were great. Can't imagine another way their deaths could have happened without sacrifice and to buy time and protect the crew from the jaegerists.

A pretty great chapter overall. Looks like Isayama is setting up these events carefully in order to deliver a mind-blowing finale. A lot of people felt that it was rushed but I thought it was natural for people to make such drastic choices instantaneously since the world is about to end. This can be seen when the scouts just tear apart the Yeagerists without a second thought. Fuck even Connie who struggled to kill his former allies last chapter was savage af this time around. And the people they are killing are protecting their homeland from what could possibly be total annihilation
so there's a valid reason as to why they were hesitating in the first place.

On a storywise perspective it makes no sense to kill any of the name cast of characters especially by a bunch of noobs, yes these people on the yeagerist side are all noobs.

He is saving up all their death for the final battle with Eren, I was never expecting anyone big to die here because this is simple moving from point a to b, the Yeagerist were just obstacles to get pass before reaching point b, though I was surprise by Magath and Shadis death.

We are about to enter the final battle, why kill any of the important character now?

It has become my routine to say this: I hate Floch!!

Finally, Gabi did something that made me like her a little by hurting Floch.

Shadis finally got to be a hero. He is no longer a simple bystander. Yet, no one will ever know. Though, I hope Eren knows.

Falco's titan looks like a bird of prey. I didn't think a titan could look like that.

Isayama did a good job reminding us about the problems that can arise with titan transformation for beginners. I love that the experienced Marleyan knew that getting the human out would help.

Reiner is still alive. lol.

I feel like they guy that Connie killed last chapter died multiple times thins chapter. haha

Glad I’m in the group who loved this chapter. The Shads/Magath ending was very poetic and I never would have thought that his passing would be so impactful. Falco’s titan design is meh but it not a big issue. Gabi continues being an mvp.

Even though I’m dying for an Eren chapter I think this direction is the best for the story. We need to see the real world consequences of Eren’s rumbling on his friends, enemies and inbetween. That way the final battle will feel all the more powerful.

It actually is quite the tragic plot device, because Magath was essential for the reconciliation efforts between Eldia and Marley. Him dying on the battlefield is not at all unnecessary, much for the contrary, it may bring terrible and unfortunate consequences to any further steps for the Alliance's objectives.

Eren's side has the upper-hand in every way in this war, much more so from the moment a significant reformed Marleyan figure died in the shadows of the latest conflict.

His death if anything, may be a big element that may bring doom to the people trying to stop Eren, they are all Eldian descendants except Yelena (and what a "GREAT" Marleyan representant to have on their side LMAO).

-How did Magath even jump and cut Falco out?
-When did Connie become Levi tier air slashing 5 people in one go? I feel like he should have died to give the scenes more power.
-How can these people that almost died to 20 below average soldiers hope to defeat Eren? Without talk no jutsu or weird asspulls?
-"We cant hesitate or our comrades will die!" Huh? Since the alliance feels too forced with no build up at all, this just feels so absurd while they are killing their own people and working for the doom of them lol.

Edit: Also the reason Shadis decided to help them feels so meh too. "My old students growing up and being together. Even the ones that killed millions of people inside the walls :'))"

I feel like there are too many inconsistencies. An action packed chapter that is enjoyable if you turn your brain off and just try to enjoy it like you are reading fairy tail or something lmao.
