 Main cast and staff members for the anime adaptation of Yong-je Park's The God of High School manhwa were announced by Crunchyroll on Thursday. The anime will debut exclusively on Crunchyroll in Summer 2020.Synopsis It all began as a fighting tournament to seek out for the best fighter among all high school students in Korea. Mori Jin, a Taekwondo specialist and a high school student, soon learns that there is something much greater beneath the stage of the tournament. (Source: LINE Webtoon) Cast Mo-ri Jin: Tatsumaru Tachibana (Kabukichou Sherlock) A sixteen-year-old whose taekwondo, which he learned from his grandfather, makes him undefeatable. Nothing is more important to him than being the best fighter of all, and his current record out of 299 fights is 297 wins and 2 draws. He decides to participate in the God of High School tournament, an interdisciplinary martial arts competition, after suffering the first loss of his life against Judge R, one of the tournament's judges. Dae-wi Han: Kentarou Kumagai (Grancrest Senki) One of the "Mad Cows," a duo that once controlled the entire Gangnam area. He's been working part-time jobs to pay the medical bills for his partner in the duo, who fell ill with an incurable disease, but the part-time work available to high schoolers is barely enough to cover the daily medical bills and won't cover a cure. He joins GOH after being told that he can save his friend if he wins. Mi-ra Yu: Ayaka Ohashi (Masamune-kun no Revenge) The 25th Master of the Moon Light Sword Style. She pretends to be a fragile high schooler, but she has the strength to easily overpower an entire group of delinquents in a fight. She prefers guys who are macho, because she's been told that she needs to marry a man strong enough to help her resurrect her family's sword style. For that reason, she's participating in GOH to find a potential husband. Seong-Hu Park (Garo: Vanishing Line) is directing the anime at MAPPA, featuring character designs by Manabu Akita (Kakegurui). Sola Entertainment is in charge of the management production. Park launched the action comedy manhwa in Naver Webtoon (now Line Webtoon) in April 2011. | the manhwas was a promise that korean works would bring something new and better, but tower of god is another sao where the protagonist without harem lacks personality or simply being emo. This instead just seems to be another nekketsu. |

| FINALLY. One of my favourite manhwa is getting an anime adaptation. I have dreamt of this since the beginning of time. The only sad thing is, that it will take a long time for the anime to reach the point I am at in the manhwa, right now. Will definitely watch this. I recommend this SO MUCH. It is on par, if not better, than most of the battle-shounen series out there. |

The animation looks incredible, animators are already talking about cuts from this teaser over on twitter and on the sakuga forum. The director for the series is a veteran when it comes to action animation and from what I heard he's gonna bring a lot of free lancers and animators that worked on Naruto/Boruto No I’m not blind. Sure, there are 2 or 3 sakuga scenes, but the other ones don’y look very fluid. |

| honestly the only thing i've heard thats good about this is the fighting and it being compared to dragon ball z of webtoons does almost nothing for me ,but will check it out since i do enjoy high quality action but i ant expecting much nor will i buy into the hype. some how i think this will do fairly well with how simple and straight forward it is as long as they keep the animation good |

I just hope the adaptations we are already getting like this, tower of god and noblesse are enough to warrant more adaptations |

| This show gonna implode inside because of mediocrity premise. With Re Zero in summer, this anime will be overshadowed. With MAPPA its gonna be good or trash, leaning to the latter. |
