| So Kyoshiro was indeed Denjiro damn and on top of that he is also Ushimitsu/Witching hour boy. So the nickname Kyoshiro the sleepy was because he spent his nightime distributing money to the poor and felt sleepy in the day cause of that. He's a great guy. Watching the final events from 20 years ago was sad. |

| Assuming this chapter will be the last one set in this arc's flashback, we just witnessed the longest flashback we ever seen in One Piece. This one began at chapter 959 till 973, making it lasts 14 chapters and 6 months of publishing. While the other ones lasted about 7~8 chapters. |

| After seeing Denjiro in the flashback, this comes as a surprise, but before that it was legit to assume Denjiro = Kyoshiro, there were many hints and he had to be on Wano. |

| Man we had a feeling that Kyoshiro had to be Denjiro somehow. The way he had slashed Komurasaki, along with being the witching hour boy. Dang what a good guy. Not to mention I bet he must be in pain and hurting so much to see Yasuie executed. Not to also mention that he wanted his name and secret be kept from his allies so he can make his attack and strike to come at the right moment, and asked Hiyori to keep it. |

| Really nice chapter showing some interesting glimpses of the final part of Oden's last day alive. The anime kinda spoilered in the opening the twist that Denjiro was Kyoshiro, but it would have been a really nice twist if I wasn't already aware of the fact, for sure <3 4/5 |

Tbh I thought Zoro's old teacher would somehow play a role in revealing Denjiro, but I guess not. |

| Great chapter. Yeah, I never suspected Kyoshiro as Denjiro as well but it makes sense after he left Hiyori alive. This is actually great, I'm really looking forward to seeing Orochi's face when Denjiro betrays him. Is it safe to assume that Toki's words refer to the scabbards now? Kaidou showed Momonosuke mercy, perhaps there is some hope left in him. |

| only really interesting thing from this chapter was the reveal of Kyoshiro as Denjiro I am hoping to God that this is the end of the flashback, I think we've seen everything we need to see in the past at this point. even this chapter felt like it wasn't really necessary and could have been summed in a few pages rather than a full chapter. |

I'd say it makes sense to put it here, since afterwards the chapter presents the struggles that both Hiyori and Momo had to deal with after their father's death. |

I mean, to be fair, this twist was technically revealed as early as the first episode of Wano in the anime last year (during the opening sequence showing all of the Nine Red Scabbards). But given that a lot of readers don't touch the anime in a long while, I'm not quite as surprised they didn't know about it. Not like engaging with the community would make them any less worthy anyway (not that you are saying that either, ofc). |
