Huh? Anime quality is subjective? No, it is not. The rate of enjoyment is.
Check out my favorites and my list. Do they have perfect scores? No. That's because I was able to keep both separate.
Huh? Only science is objective? No, it is not. Even math is not objective. A mountain's height changes depending on where you measure it from. Sea level? or your feet. Even the simplest of 1 + 1 is not always equal to two. How do you even add one orange and one apple?
The same goes for rating a product's quality. If it has the same variable, it is (should) objective.
I mostly score based on solely quality (as I think they should). No genre, studio, budget, marketing, or any other bias.
I HATE OVER-RATED ANIME THE MOST:
1. TATE NO YUUSHA (Bad animation and inconsistent character development)
2. SAO II+ (Bad animation)
3. CELLS AT WORK (Bad and flat art, boring story)
4. GOBLIN SLAYER (Inconsistent and bad art, especially the proportion of the body)
5. ENEN NO SHOUBOUTAI (Bad animation and art, generic story)
WORKS I THINK IS A MASTERPIECE: MY HERO ACADEMIA
New type of manga which combines Japanese Manga with American Comic. I especially love how Horikoshi-sensei always seemed to have new idea on how to play with his panel. You can compare this to Murata-sensei's One Punch Man which only uses one killer image in one big page (sometimes two page. not to mention two page of panel like this in one chapter. no offense, Murata-sensei might be more suited to draw poster).
Please stop b*tching about anime/manga/whatever if you didn't acquire them legally.
