I liked the way they used the radio broadcast to play TrySail's OP song, although after the song finished playing the screen went black, where a faint outline of a girl appeared. Creepy...

Alongside Rena opening up to Iroha more often and Felicia warming up to the others as well, despite getting a telling off from a police officer, things are getting more odd with the spam messages that Iroha kept getting on her phone, about the endless solitude and asking for her help. One thing that caught Iroha's eye was when the message asked if Iroha was a magical girl. With a question like that, it's inevitable that Iroha would spring into action.

However, that led her to one of the Wing of Magius twins, Tsukuyo Amane, who asked Iroha if she was referring to a girl named Sana Futaba. My guess is that she's the girl asking Iroha for help.

The fight between the two girls was short, with Iroha making some nice evasive moves that was animated really nicely, but she did get caught. Luckily, from the Shadows, Mami used her ribbons to free Iroha and made her retreat before Yachiyo and the others arrived to help Iroha, but sadly Amane chose that time to flee as well.

All in all, this was a really good episode. The storytelling is impressive and it feels as if the story is building up closer to something big happening. I hope I'm right with that presumption. =3

And they are still making Bokurano chair references. That anime is so old nowadays. I wonder if people still get these references.

a well done set up episode to introduce Futaba Sana into the narrative, there is a 99.9% chance that we get to finally see shield loli in the next episode. i like how even though this was a total set up episode it still felt like a great episode because we get to see iroha getting used to her new surroundings. shaft did a great job animating iroha dodging the spikey balls and i love seeing mami pop in and out - great use of a known character while not overtly shoving her in your face for name recognition. pumped for next EP

No, for me it is the sequel of previous episode (for everything related to SMS and "electric wave rumor" and for the arrival of Iroha at Kamihama middle school in any case). Maybe you did not see post credit or you think about another point ?

For the chairs I had not the references so what I thought was "why are the chairs like this?" and "rena is alive ?"

For the trysail music at the begining, there was something similar at the beginning of "Your lie in april" in Arima headphones.

This episode was quite mysterious with these two new rumors that reached Iroha's ears: the endless Solitude and the invisible girl.

The episode began in a very particular way by putting the Opening next to the radio transmission, which also added the mystery of the voice of a laughing girl who interrupted the transmission, I also liked that Iroha is together with her new friends in her new home when the opening ends.

Iroha begins her new life in Kamihama city, now attending the school where Tsuruno and the other girls attend, but Kaede stays away and isolated after her transformation, this makes Rena stay alone on the roof of the school, but despite To this, Rena becomes a source of information regarding rumors and informs to Iroha about of the rumor of the invisible girl and that of the endless Solitude. Later Tsuruno mentions a rumor about a girl that is heard through your cell phone while being near a radio tower in the city.

I really liked the way Felicia gradually adapts to having friends, now she works with Tsuruno in Banbanzai and that part where Felicia starts a fight to defend Iroha and Yachiyo was too sweet, little Felicia is recovering little by little the happiness she lost.
The surroundings of the radio tower were quite disturbing, but at least Iroha and Felicia confirm that the rumor Tsuruno heard is real.

Iroha receives several messages from a stranger during the episode, which she ignores until Rena makes her see that the message says she is a girl who needs help and this connects with the rumor of the tower girl and on her way to the Iroha tower finds one of the Amane twins, with whom she ends up fighting, but fortunately Mami saves her from the shadows.
In the end, Iroha responds to the messages of the trapped girl and she replies that she is trapped in the endless Solitude, so that is the next objective for the next episode.

Then we went on the hunt for the lost signal or some shit!! And a flute monster was summoned? I don't know what the fuck is going on as always, but who cares!!! Iroha was in deep trouble!! But fear not the magical lesbians comes to her rescue!! Yachiyo was upset and kicked some ass!! No one messes with her future wife and gets away with it!!,,,YEEEES!!!

Anime you really understand what I want!! Magical lesbians magical lesbians and some more magical lesbians!!!,,,YEEEEEEEEES!

Great stuff as always and a well deserved 10/10

Not true: Yachiyo has been doing the magical girl thing since she was 12, yet she still looks her age. Rena could easily thwart aging with her magic long enough for a concert, though.

Not sure I'm a fan of skipping Tsuruno and Felicia's plan to capture Amane sisters which led to meeting with Homura in the game. That event made me like the twins. Now they look like total villains. And they changed how Iroha and the gang met (or gonna meet) Madoka and shoehorned Mami, who already went missing around this time in game. I was expecting to see Madoka in this episode so I was a bit disappointed. The previous Misery Water arc got rushed as hell too and now this... *sigh*

I only noticed the second time I watched but... the filler text at 10:38 is in Finnish. One seems to be from a haircare guide and another looks like some kind of marriage tips, lol.

Several commenters seem to have the impression that the person messaging Iroha is a girl who is being imprisoned. I suppose they failed to notice the messages at 17:18.

Although, I wonder how that person got Iroha's email address or how they know Iroha is a magical girl. It can't have been the same way it happened in the game.

Furthermore, the first framing of that vision shows that the room had only three beds and there was apparently no room for one more, so the fourth person was probably not a patient.

For some reason, I really like it when shows go meta and have its OP or ED as a song that the characters could listen to within their own universe. The opening scene in this episode is pretty smooth, lol.

I've noticed there's a faint white outline of a girl on Iroha's phone after the OP.

If I've heard it correctly, the invisible girl uwasa/rumour named "Endless Solitude" is "Hitori Bocchi" in Japanese. Probably unlikely that they're referencing a certain anime/manga, but I just found that funny.

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised they didn't connect the spam mail thing to a rumour or a witch. I guess that's just how most anime are.

Well this is a giant city (like over a million people) so there will be many magical girls, also there is a second season announced so its natural to have more characters than a 12 episode anime.

Yeah, I'm a little split on the subject. I'm inclined to agree with the people saying that it is a little fast-paced. But at the same time, it's supposed to be a spin-off that extends upon the Madoka universe. I guess it's just hard to divorce this anime from the original.

Also, season two? Hopefully it'll be a huge improvement.

But why we're getting so many radio, though?.. Does Iroha just likes listening to the radio before sleep?.. Well, sometimes there are some interesting channels.. Talk shows like we hear can be interesting as well, I actually like them more than music on radio.. But that's my personal preferences.. And I don't listen to radio too much myself, here and there randomly, maybe once a month or something.. But now I wanna hear some radio after this.. ;D

It sure took some time for Iroha to finally connect the dots between the spam mails and the "electric waves girl" Rumor. How she didn't see the initial "are you a Mahou Shoujo?" mail is beyond me tho.

Anyways, kind of a set up episode for what's to come, which seems to be something huge. So, two more Rumors were revealed and both of them brought a certain extra amount of mystery to the current plot. In that regard, I'm kinda curious to know about this "Endless Solitude" thing and see if it's directly connected with the girl begging for help at the radio tower.

P.S.: Seeing Mami taking care of her junior from the shadows was nice and damn, I swear I can't get enough of Yachiyo's great fashion sense.
