By some coincidence, the bots gave 1 to Chihaya and 10 to VS, but later on, to popular shounen like HxH, SnK or KnY. The score dropped below 7 after more than 1500 bots were created. Removing them would yield a score of 8,80+. On page 1, the messages of the admins said that they would not delete the fake accounts manually and wait until a general solution is found. So they said almost 7 weeks ago... |

I also think it's bs and the people doing it are sad and pathetic. What I meant with my reply is that some people are blowing this out of proportion. We don't even know how many people are botting, it could only be a few. The vast majority of VS fans don't do shit like this, nor would they care that another show was rated higher. Yet some people here are acting like the entire fanbase is like that, while going on a "fuck VS" crusade. I mean, the dude I replied to said before that he literally gave the show a 1 out of spite. And now he's posting sales data as a "haha gotcha" moment... You guys have every right to be pissed about what's happening, but some of you are acting just as childish as the ones trolling the mean score. That's what I'm taking issue with. |

| I don't even know why Vinland Saga's dvd sales was brought up here as it has nothing to do with Chihayafuru's rating score or Chihayafuru in general. Anyways its nice to see the score rebound a bit, but a ratings score should be the last thing you look at if you are looking around for new anime to watch as it doesn't really determine if the series is good or not. |

| I'm going to bide my time and hope the dev team is still working on a solution that we will be seeing before long. I'm also hoping that solution includes weeding out all past existing accounts. It will be interesting to see what the ratings look like after that's been done. Whatever measures are put in place, you can be sure some will complain about it. Among the loudest complainers are the rating trolls themselves. They won't admit to being such and are likely to present other plausible-sounding arguments for their case, and as such may be difficult to tell apart from those making legitimate complaints, but you can be sure they won't be happy about MAL ruining their ability to game the system. Expect them to look for ways to continue doing so. Measures and countermeasures. |

| Once in a while I have that sad feeling and thoughts about how high Chihayafuru 3's score would have been like if it had not been downvoted by those griefers... :( So much great stuff in its 3rd season have already happened since the first episode of it, and we still have almost half of this season's episodes ahead. |

That's good to hear. I almost want to take a screenshot of the top 100 or so to see how they change. My bet is there will be not meaningful difference, Chihayafuru not withstanding, of course. |

Don't want to be mean but did she mention a year? Also, assuming the best possible scenario (getting rid of all the bots) it will not bring back what already has been lost. What I am referring to is all the chances to get some recognition and appreciation (possible new viewers and fans) while it has been a hot topic as well as the impact on people who are rating a show influenced by a general score and rarely change their initial rating and believe me there are a lot of them. Not to mention all the missed award chances and general impression. It's like giving someone Olympic Games medal or a championship title a year later after the initial winner has been caught on doping tests. |

| It's good to see that a fix is in the works, and that it's not too far off. Hopefully it will at least somewhat mitigate the trolling problem, and the "fuck VS" peeps will finally calm down for once. |
