For me it's when girls get flustered and turn red around the guy they like. So freaking cute. Also the glasses push.

I like the glasses push too.

My favourite is when the villain joins the good guys. They're always more interesting than the goody-two-shoes.

battle royale
sekaikei

yuri

i guess those are genres more than tropes, but still catalogued by tvtropes, and typical of anime/japanese works

The young (little) person who is actually much older than anyone anticipates. And is probably the strongest (overpowered) character in the series.

Agree with you on the glasses. Don't forget when it glows and you can't see the eyes. Now that I use one, I can finally do it.

I also like the change in artstyle for comedic effect. Like in FMA: B.

Also the weird sounds they make when they understand something or after a guy finished a sentence. You know, the "hmm" sound.

Does smiling while having your eyes closed count? Cause that sure is weird. Never seen someone do that in my life.

The dopey yet super nice and forgiving MC who forgives the baddie in spite of the bad things they do. It's cheesy and trope-y and too much of a cliche, but I love it.

Shame.

Another trope (or rather, character archetype) I like is the male tsundere.

Boob inferiority complex. Watching an anime girl get flustered over being flat is cute whenever I see it somehow. Blushing and shouting baka also never gets old for me.
Glasses push is always nice, it's just less obnoxious than most tropes.
Opening theme playing just before the MC makes a comeback always feels good tbh.

Guy saving/protecting girl :p

Two characters in love but blush and look away everytime they see each other. (usually after one of them made a confession or had an awkward accident)

Villain secretly liking the main character and vice-versa

Hellsing glasses

When anime characters get serious about their feelings and their hair covers their eyes/upper part of their face..

^the same, but in romantic scenes, where the dude has his hand against wall or in some way 'envelopes' the girl without hugging her lol

Those scenes where time slows down, the characters move in dramatic slow motion to romantic/good background score when something unexpected or great or romantic happens.

Confessing feelings but the dialogues are buried under noise ;(

Male characters that are so passionate about their work or goal and that is all they think about, obsessively. Like Nozaki-kun, Chiyaki senpai, Light Yagami. IDK why I tend to like such types.

Cold-hearted male characters that show tough love, but are soft inside..........

Cheerful/optimistic characters with dark pasts or very troubled personal life.

The Magical Girl genre and many of its common tropes.
Playing the anime's theme song during the climax of the final episode.
Fairytale Motifs + Flower Motifs
That one trope where the evil guy takes one of the main characters, makes a copy of that character, and sends them off so that the good guys confuse them with the actual character before getting attacked by them. (I think it's related to the Spot the Imposter trope)

...just to name a few.

The OP protagonist, but done right, they don't exercise their power here and there, but actually grow and become OP, recent examples of this is Naofumi from Shield Hero, but an old example is Hei from Darker Than Black.
Just an avid anime watcher of 20 years, not much else I could say about myself (that I don't want to reveal, of course, just ask if you wanna know more!)

Naofumi's growth is MUCH better in the LN than the anime, but I agree. Hajime in Arifureta is the same in the LN, but the anime butchered it and made him OP from the start. Kirito as well in SAO progressive.

It is obvious that "obscenity" is not a term capable of exact legal definition; in the practice of the courts, it means "anything that shocks the magistrate".

its impossible to create a story without tropes. i think your confusing tropes with cliches.

Anyway as for my fav trope, its the badass girls liking the pussy, loser kinda guy and changing him to a hero hunk.

examples- girl's of the wilds,green boy,black lagoon.

Two close male friends that squabble like an old married couple but very much care for each deeply and share a deep bond. Peak moe.

If there's a single visual trope I love, it's the Single Stroke Battle. Two sword people run at each other, you hear the shwing, then a split second later one is dead or wounded.

no, I am not. I asked for your favourite trope, literally nothing to do with "making a story without tropes" you must have replied to the wrong post. I think you're confusing mine with another. Not sure how you misunderstood.

I'll admit I'm a sucker for that shoujo trope where the usually super cool, calm and collected dude gets turned into an embarrassed blushy mess by the girl he likes.

Another one I really love is when this seemingly impossible way to fix a problem/beat a bad guy gets pulled off by the genius mc but we don't know how since we only see the reaction from the villain/onlooker's perspective and then much later we get the mc explaining how he/she did it and it's freaking amazing.

Also I love it when the mc gets shamed/betrayed by people for being weak and then goes back and kicks their asses in one way or another after becoming stupidly op
