| UPDATED : 2nd August 2019 - Added 2nd PV and all Character PV's Persona 5 R was announced by Atlus to officially be Persona 5: The Royal. First PV Second PV P5R is set to release on 10/31/2019 in Japan, The western release is slated to be sometime in 2020. Probably in spring similar to how P5 originally released. Atlus mention they chose the title Royal because they wanted the title be artistic, proud and gorgeous. Currently known new content includes - New party member, Kasumi Yoshizawa - Kasumi will be playable from early in the game and has her own confidant storyline. - New confidant, Takuto Maruki - Le Consultant - There are more confidants, however Atlus have chosen not to reveal them at this time. - Atlus mention that they are taking care to weave all the new content into the main story as naturally as possible and they don't want to change the original story too much - Chance to play through the third semester which we never got to play in the original P5. - Atlus have mentioned that the new content of the game from January to April will be more than the amount of content we got from P4 to P4G. - New area to explore - 'Kichijoji', new social and date spots. - You can take the twins on outings - The dart minigame will present in Kichioji - New events including a new year's event and from the looks of it, group events. - Human Morgana event all but confirmed at this point. - New character portraits during conversation to add more flair. - New enemy types. - They are adding functions/items to help improve EXP gain, they are trying to streamline the game as much as they can. They want to improve pacing for people who thought it dragged on. - Assist menus to help with school life. - The assist menus supposedly look at the players current stats and offer advice on where to go to raise their lower stats, they also let you fast travel to said event if you choose to do it. - New soundtracks, currently they have mentioned that there's over 20 new soundtracks. (Get hyped!) - People with P5 save files will get some kind of reward but progress will not carry over. - PS4 Pro/4k support. | I'm more curious to see if they'll add more game mechanics into this enhanced version. Sadly, we'll have to wait a bit to see. Should be interesting. I hope they give this customers the chance for an upgrade rather than having to buy the whole game. |

| This reminds me a bit of what happened with Persona 2, I've got high hopes for a FeMc since Maya did talk in Innocent Sin before becoming a silent protag in Eternal Punishment. The gameplay and aesthetic will be great, but I'm worried for the story and characters since P5 had a pretty weak story and the characters were lacking too, esp Ryuji and Ann after they did their lil arc. Also, more Takemi, please Atlus. |

 Morgana is pretty much Teddie 2.0 now, Atlus is clearly creatively bankrupt  New party member. Mask is awful, but the outfit itself is alright. Also it seems like they might add new events, characters and more stuff to do. I hope they go "The Golden" route, might actually fix the godawful ending starting from Akechi onwards. |

So yeah, they have the chance to expand upon the characters (Haru and Akechi in particular) who really needed as well as their chemistry with the team and pace the story better by cutting some of the bloat here and there, so this might be good news after all. |

Sakamoto and Ann need some fixing to. I mean they lost relevancy after Makoto and Futaba joined the team. And Akechi going out as an insane kid was dam dissapointing. And Haru has the whole to late to the party thing which made her confidant harder than it should be. What more needs to be fixed? |
| Kasumi is looking to be my favorite character, aesthetic wise. Now I'll just go save up until 2020 :) and pls, the original P5 plot is perfect as it is although i wont mind if they change things up here. |

| Until the revelation, i was hoping it would be a DLC, since PS4 can afford that. But it seems like more sort of remake, than a DLC. I'll hope they won't change much in story until Shido's palace. And it seems like they change Mementos Palace, or it would be drastically changed, since story continues after new year. Maybe that's for good. Kasumi won't picked my interest design-wise, find her a bit boring. But we'll see how she shows herself as character. New activities is good, but i'll hope, that they'll increase a number of time of doing them. New All-out attacks is good, and finally Futaba will join. We'll see how Persona 5 Royal will be in terms of story, but question "Would it be better, than Persona 5", i think, is still unanswered. I love the ending of Persona 5, and find it hard to outdone. P.S. I'll just wish they're make compatible save files at least. Because leveling up again all stats would be pain. For me. |

I think Morgana's change might be for a specific event only which should be fine if you ask me. Regarding the rest of what you said, I didn't really have any issue with the way they handled the story in P5 but improvements are always welcome and I'd be happy to see more group oriented events.. |

| I'm definitly looking forward to more Persona 5 content, the Royale looks good and the additions look worth the purchase. Assuming I can get some sort of add on/upgrade for $29.99 as opposed to buying the game twice. As for Persona Scramble I'm really excited for that because it's a new style with characters I know and love. |
