A big RPG fan who enjoys just about all range of anime (except Harem! D:);
current and old. Also, a big fan of old-school mecha anime so the SRW series is my wet dream come true.

The new HD one, but not the full collection just EO3 since I already own 1 and 2 untold.
Sounds like the whole internet is absolutely smitten with tears of the kingdom. Looks like Nintendo was right to delay its release until it was properly finished. If only Pokemon could learn that damn lesson.
Bought myself the remake of Etrian Odyssey 3. Damn it is overpriced but 3 is the only one I've never played, and I'd love it if EO was able to continue outside the world of the DS.
Yeah, no real big games coming out for a least a couple weeks for me, so I've been checking out indie games again. Mostly pokemon clones for some reason lol. Theres my old standby monster sanctuary which is Metroidvania x Pokemon, which got a small content update recently so I've been checking it out again. Theres also the new game Cassette beasts which is pretty much just pokemon but with a bit more emphasis on traversal. Its a solid time sink but not much else.
It's pretty good. I mean its just a shot for shot remake of the first 2 advance wars gameplay wise, but theres a tonne of polish and other little touches that make it quite refreshing to play.
You been up to anything interesting? I guess Zelda's just around the corner right?
Probably putting my run on a bit of a hold for a bit due to advance wars, but I did power through the Xenologue before, and did try out the new classes a bit.
Enchanter I'm not a huge fan of. Its Knives and Scrolls, but with pretty mediocre stats. Its gimmick is it can use those single use items like strength tonics and what have you, to impart some pretty impressive buffs on allies, like a chance to nullify damage, or bouncing back any damage you take similar to Celicas ability. Also their unique ability is straight up they just get access to the convoy, same as Allear lol.
Mage Cannon is a lot more interesting. Basically a ballista as it were, can't double attack and its accuracy gets somewhat shaky the farther away the target is, but can hit pretty hard without ever getting close to the front line. They deal damage based off Dex interestingly enough. There are also a surprising number of cannons to choose from, anti air and armor, status effects like freeze and silence, and a mix of physical and magical attacking options.
The dragons are neat too, I'm almost certainly going to use Nel on my playthrough. Like the dragons of old, they can equip dragonstones to transform when in combat. As far as I can tell theres only 3 dragonstones, 1 physical, 1 magical, and 1 weaker physical but ranged.
Well I played through the first 2 chapters to see what its like, but now I've started a new game. I think its around chapter 6 to 8 when you unlock it, but I haven't quite reached there yet. As for the new classes, I have no idea how good they are, as you don't unlock them till you beat the xenologue.
As for why you can't change jobs, well I guess it's because its an entirely separate scenario, just like the Ashen wolves. You don't get any EXP, your entire party is always set to a specific level for each map, same with the enemies, and all your items are limited to what the game provides for you. I guess its to account for the fact that you can access it at almost any time throughout the game, so rather than try and balance the enemy around whatever level you might be, its probably a lot easier to just keep the whole thing entirely separate from the main game. That's why I was surprised when I found out you could bring any character you have recruited, I assumed it'd be like Ashen wolves, where you just get the three lords, along with Ashe, Hilda and uhh... Linhardt I think?
Basically its a little bonus side game, that if you beat it you get 5 new characters and 2 new classes.
Ended up getting the DLC. I thought you'd be limited in what characters you could use, but apparently you can use whoever you want, but their class and weapons are set in stone.
That's understandable. I may end up getting it myself one of these days.
Not finished no, though I have looped back to kind of the start of the game again with a lot of the mysteries finally getting solved. So hopefully it won't be too much longer now.
Yeah, i heard lot of the games are spread apart from a variety of spin offs and consoles it was released on some still yet to be officially translated to this day, and tokyo xanadu is coming on the switch now.

Which Rings did you end up cutting then to make room for the DLC ones?
I'm still making my way through Labyrinth of Galleria... god this game is long. 70 hours and I'm pretty sure the ends still a fair ways off.
