| Speaking for myself, I often get angry, or at least irritated, when a show's plot starts to make no sense or the characters start acting like morons or out of character. Why? Because it ruins whatever immersion I had in a show. When the immersion is ruined, its a good indicator that I've wasted my time. I don't like to waste my time. |

| I don't think that I have ever been angry from anime. Or in general, I don't angry much. I can sometimes become righteously angry in a scene that's involving someone being wronged, but I wouldn't call that true anger. Overall I can't quite understand what' the point of being angry over anime. |

I can't tell from your question if you meant anime as in "some anime" or as "industry". For "some anime", it is pretty much due to the viewer's expectations, the spoken/unspoken rules of the society they live in and the quality of the story and characters. As for "industry" I dont think people get unnecessarily angry over it, atleast not much higher proportion compared to other media such as movies and video games. You should see the recent uproar gamers caused over Diablo Immortal and Fallout 76. Compared to those, people getting angry over anime wouldn't even amount to much |
