This thread is about personal experience and is not meant to every boy out there. Most of the boys that have talked to me pretend to be nice to me but later on just tell me that I should do things their way. I've always ended up ignoring those kinds of people because I don't feel like it's right for me to just follow along to anything they tell me to do. It feels like they want to control me. I feel like the real nice boys are the ones that let me be me. I hope I'm not the only one that has had this issue. |

I think men tend to get more to the direct points of conversations rather than passively answering in most cases. This is not neccessarily bad, but it can be interpreted as rude occassionally. If someone would ask me a question I usually aim for a brief but concise answer. In terms of relationships this behavior is more common due to males liking loyalty which sometimes can cause controlling behavior. |

Nice bait, regardless of whether you purposefully meant for it to be. If you want the thread not to be targeted at all boys you should make it "Why are some boys rude" or something similar, because as it stands, it's targeting all boys. Are you sure you're not a naughty girl, op? |

Most men aren't rude in my opinion and while many people lack courtesy I would say that people nowadays are a lot nicer than what it used to be let's say 200, 100, 50 or even 30 years ago. deg said: girls like that must be submissive gender equality is only recent in human history anyway so maybe submissive males and dominant females will come out if this gender equality thing progresses more, but for now even feminists i think do not want to initiate dates for the most part so they still prefer the dominant/aggressive/assertive male partner its a sexual selection thing lol I don't think submissiveness is a gender thing. You remember that mal thread about whether you are S or an M, the ratios were pretty much the same for both sexes with males being slightly more S but considering that there are men who just wouldn't admit it because of social pressure makes me think that if everyone answered honestly they would be very close if not equal. In fact if you look at history examples long before gender equality or feminism were a thing there were plenty of documented M males and S females. I believe the reason behind why we have this stereotype is that "aggressive", "dominant" and "assertive" partner is usually considered a strong one that will most likely make your life easier by bringing more security/stability to it even if it means giving up on your true nature. In fact I talked on that topic with a SE Asian girl recently who believe that being a female in her country is a blessing and would sacrifice some of her freedom just to avoid the hell that males go through to get a good education and a decent job in order to support a family. And to be honest I doubt it would be any different if society was the complete opposite, a lot of men would most likely accept a dominant woman as their partner even if they don't have a submissive nature as long as she's is able to support the whole family and reduce their responsibilities to housework and watching after potential children they might have. |

I met a bunch of asshole-women as well, so... both genders are raised to be such in a different way, mostly at least. There are enough abusive women too, so you can tell that it depends on a person's individual personality. Although I also made different experiences with both genders as kid and teen, just the other way around. I always had a group of exclusively male friends between like 7-15, because the "smiling in your face and then stabbing you in the back"-attitude really wore me down. They even didn't think of each other as friends and knew their friends didn't like them and vice versa. Nonetheless they still spend every free hour together, called them sweetie while smiling in their face and bitch, when they left. Especially the girls from the wealthy families did this and I know it's cliched, but it's also my experiences too. xD What I hated the most, I think, was that one almost tend to copy their way of treating each other, when you have been with them. Tl;dr: There is a lot of toxicity in its own ways between many teenage girls or how they treat others in general. I think there are also more adult women than men doing this. Still, I got along very well with more older teenage girls and adult women than at younger age. So, I dunno... I thought that more guys than girls were more straight-forward or at least not that backstabbing. |

Boys can be rude. Girls can be rude. Men can be rude. Women can be rude. Non-binary people can be rude. Transgender people can be rude. People can be rude. Some aren't, but some are. That's about as far as anyone can really go into discussing this matter. Anything else seems to turn the corner into sexism and baseless generalizations with lightning speed. |
