| Uh. The most recent Gintama ep is like ep 93. There's no TV breaks we need to worry about (unless you're actually watching the RAWs). We just need to worry about it actually getting subs. I liked it a lot, but for an Akagi spinoff it didn't feel a lot like Akagi. I also didn't notice that Hasegawa's VA is the same VA for the narrator of Kaiji until now :o |

| Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about mahjong. So, I didn't find this episode as funny as others. I did find the "strip" mahjong part humorous, though. |

| Just as they mentioned gambling in the beginning, I was ready for a Kaiji or Akagi reference put in somewhere. Then as soon as I saw the mahjong table, I was like "There it is!" and just as expected, 'Akage' appeared. That was hilarious. |

| Didn't really like this episode. The mahjong game was okay. There were some references to old anime but it was okay overall. The full OP song at the end was the highlight in this episode. |

| Season 1 is finally over. To think it took me nearly a full year to get this far. Oddly enough they played the ending theme first this episode, and the full opening as the ending with clips from the past 48 episodes. I say oddly because I thought next episode was the first season finale, but apparently I was wrong. Anywho, weird episode for a season finale. No Kagura, no Shinpachi, a very small cast in general. I'm not much of a gambling anime watcher, but appreciated the Akagi reference, and was also reminded of Saki intentionally or not. Coulda done without this though: :D Lotta male stripping this episode. Too bad she wasn't involved:  So that's season one of Gintama then I guess. Considering only the most recent 7 episodes are still fresh in my mind not much to say except...been a fun ride so far. :D |
