| I use SubtitleEdit to change them, but only when the subs are unbearable. Thankfully, this doesn't happen often as it's a pain in the ass to do this for longer series. I just copy the style from other subs I like. |

It was pretty specific, reiterated a lot of what I thought and made me wanna edit my own blog post, mostly using my previous forum posts. I noticed my subs in that example up there were too small, so I switched from size 16 to 18. |

| my font is bold yellow comic sans(yeah I watch tarkovsky with that :v), the position probably almost the same like ur. If it .ass or just softsub but with fansub's customization, I'll probably change the setting so I can see their version. mainly the reason if my customize's default will scattered the notes, the like gintama have lot of it. I don't like Hardsub, actually, becoz it hit and miss. sometimes the position and the font is akward or formal, and the size is too big, or the like some streaming site from local native, most the translation is so godamnfull. |

| I like to go with whatever the fansub group does. However, when they haven't customised the text it would be nice to set a better default. Also your font is insanely shit. I'm glad I don't have to read that. Your eyes will thank you if you find a slightly thicker font. |

Shadows are usually small with transparency and your borders might be something like >=1.5 but it all depends on your font and heck you're the only one watching it so really whatever looks nice to you comes before anything else. |
