But that's factoring in the manga, which had me fully hyped, wheras the anime dropped off along the way. In general, the anime was certainly kind of touch and go and points and like Mob, I found the later climatic battles to lack punch despite their flashiness. Academia, I feel is very much on the right track - and as a traditional shonen, it hits all the right notes - but could easily blow it if it can't live up to itself. OPM is a lot safer in that it can fall back to its gags. But I did put the Academia at an 8 - maybe I should review that. tl;dr OPM manga+anime just barely beats out Academia, but as anime only, Academia trumps. |

The mini-arc concluded, sure, but there was only a little overall plot movement over the course of the cour. It felt like things were finally getting warmed up when it ended. I admittedly forgot about the upcoming second season, though. |

btw, according the update blog, there's a level jumping event starting today, it's not like the bonus xp thingy, you literally jump lvls. but you can do that only up to lvl 70 or so it says. And that's more than enough tbh, so if you wanna start a new char (which me and my friend are most certainly gonna, btw) let me know. the more the merrier. |

| @Yehart, the jumping event in El currently is you have to do q quick quest with any char (clear a dungeon within your lvl range) and get a ticket that allows you to create a jumping char. This new char will jump to the same lvl as your highest char or 70 which means that if you make one it'll only go up to 58. Still, that's pretty neato. I don't know how you actually "jump levels" since I'm waiting for my friend to test these jumping chars with him. |
