So far Underworld arc follows rather closely to the Web version, which ends at vol 18. So I am guessing the next vol. will be the last so it is not that bad.

What else comes out (unless it's from a related series) doesn't really affect the size of the boost. It can affect the requirement to get into the rankings, but that's determined by the amount of things that come out, not how big they are. This is a relatively quiet week in that respect.

And lol at people judging series' success based on how many copies they sell in two days.

Yes.
Other than than did NT sales drop again?

Can't say. The last time a volume of the series came out this late in the week was volume 4. Sales are down 55% on the week 1 sales for that volume but total sales from the weekly rankings for the last volume were down by about 48% compared to volume 4...

Nice to see that Re:Zero's boost has already started. Since the start of the story is its weakest point I expect the sales to become even better throughout the next weeks.

Still as a completely new series that starts out slow, it's holding its own against those bigger series, great! :)

I just realized something after I remembered that Oricon only counts the sales of paperback books and publishing companies gain profit from them. Do the publishing companies also gain profit from the sales of the E-book version?

Would be nice if there are sales result for e-book versions, cause it's possible that some series sell e-book version as much as paperback version or even more.

I don't get why don't they since the sales of e-books should be easier to count than paperback books.

I would assume Oricon does count them, because it is essentially the same procedure when placing an order for a physical copy or an E-book copy of the same thing on Amazon JP. Amazon JP's job is just to report how many copies they have sold, so I don't see how they can't do such a thing.

If Amazon JP don't count E-book copies, there must be some sort of reason why they don't do such a thing. Do they have a fear of over-counting the number of sold E-Books if there are problems in delivering the copies over the internet? Who knows...
