Haven't seen him that fired up in awhile. Plus, we see slightly more of his background story. As usual, the story is a mess with action inserted in to make the show more entertaining. Elena and Midori reuniting, and to a lesser extent Akane and his dad reuniting, were literally the only things I even remotely cared about anymore. So, naturally, both were killed in incredibly asinine scenarios. Don't give a shit about Aoto, but I intend to finish this turd. Lowering my score to a 4 though. This just might surpass Chaos Dragon as the worst series I'll have finished in recent memory. Quite an accomplishment if it does. |
| I like Akane's dad and the way that he went out was cool but I feel like all of this stuff were executed poorly in terms of the narrative Looking forward to seeing Aoto fight his brother though....Should be awesome |
| This is possibly the worst pacing in any anime i've seen, its so unbelievably all over the place and still tries to be "philosophical", im surprised that it keeps getting worse and worse each new episode, it's a comedy at this point. Might be the worst anime i've seen. |

| I wonder why they even try to make Ginji's friends relevant at this point of the show. Are they planning a second season? Other than that, Ginji's dad and Dorothy's death were handled poorly. I mean, they were introduced in this episode (without counting the fakes of the last episode) and die like that. The series should be called Divine Mess at this point. |

| So we got - Council (wtf Ginji is the only human that can be used?) - Celestia (Hikari lmao) - Hellistia (Yukari :\) - Arthur's Team (Aoto Akane Midori and Santa?) - The Three Fairies (Sylph Ifrit Undine) - Oz - Loki all doing something for the Divine Gate? With all these characters available, I guess there's still more people that need to be killed The Key to the Divne Gate seems to be "Despair" hahahhahaha. Akane's Dad and Elena/Dorothy death happened so fast but hey, they were up against YOLO-Bored-As-Hell Scandinavian Gods so not much one can do about that. Watching Akane's Dad fight reminded me of the recent Bleach Chapters where the good guy powers up only to still die because the enemy was too strong anyways... I'm at least hoping for a good sword fight between Aoto and his brother, they have the battlefield all set up for it. |

Everything in this series sucks so much and is so confusing to the point of being one of the worst series out of there, it's a fucked up mess since the beginning, they all started out looking for the gate with their own reasons and somehow they knew where the gate is and their reasons changed to destroy the damn gate. Not to mention on how idiotic the fight with the gods was. This is beyond pathetic, I wonder what the director was thinking while recording this series. |

Probably because you were running away like a little bitch rather than confronting the enemy. I guess you were always good at running... Also the only note worthy thing I realized was Oz's seiyuu was also Bon's from shouwa. @frenze12 Lol! I was thinking the same thing. At least in Akame we knew the characters for a while. |

| A somewhat enjoyable episode. What was the deal and point of showing Helestia, Selestia? Don't tell me they are going to mess it even more or there is a second season in plan for us? [tho at this point it doesn't look plausible.] I hope there is a way to bring back Dorothy and Akane's dad. The girl didn't even get to share her feelings. I'll be displeased if they are not together in the end [my only reason to watch the show now] |

| This anime doesnt really deserve hate. Just because the show isnt deep doesnt mean that it still cant be meaningful or have themes. And i never understood why anyone would complain about characters dying fast if they were just supporting characters. In akame ga kill it was dumb because the deaths were forced and they shoved a two minute backstory right before the time of death. The difference is those were the main characters. The ones that have died in this anime were not. If you watched a war anime and armies of people died,would you care? No. Well this is the same. The supporting characters are dying like all the knights of the round. They never had any role other than to support and their deaths were not forced so it should not be a problem. This was a pretty good episode of divine gate. Cant wait to find out what happens next |

| Jesus this show ... I was expecting a real fight out of those reunions, not them suddenly getting all chummy against those Norse gods. I mean at least THEY'RE cool, especially the fire one ... welp, too bad because there were two sacrifices so Akane and Midori would get "depressed" and get the key? Sigh ... interesting how the gods that appeared were their respective element too. Guess next episode's on Aoto and his brother. From the preview that's not what I expected out of him at all ... I wonder if they'll be visited by a god too? |

| I'll say it again, with a character set this impressive they could've done way better :o The dad was cool btw, I get you needed that desperation to obtain the key. But he was a bit too cool to just die after one epsiode. |

| This episode was meh again, until they reintroduced the important characters in Akane and Midori's lives. And then they kill them. Because they have to feel despair in order to reach the Gate right? And Ginji's the only human who's able to open the Gate? F**k this story. It's so choppy and dramatic that I think the script writers are accidentally making plot holes. I was laughing when Midori was crying over Elena/Dorothy. Like seriously, I couldn't care less. I did feel bad for Oz though. Loki's the main reason why I'm finishing this anyways. And I'm expecting the next episode to suck anyways, so...... Yeah, let's finish this crap story. |
