 The official website of the upcoming anime Drifters announced the voice cast members on Monday. Kenichi Suzuki will direct the work at Hoods Drifters Studio, though a distribution format has not been announced. Cast Shimazu Toyohisa: Yuuichi Nakamura (Osomatsu-san) Oda Nobunaga: Naoya Uchida (Hunter x Hunter (2011)) Nasu no Yoichi: Mitsuki Saiga (Nabari no Ou) Abe no Haruakira: Takahiro Sakurai (Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch) Olmine: Shiho Kokido (Sekkou Boys) Kafeto (Ham): Masakazu Nishida (Gunslinger Stratos: The Animation) Drifters adapts the historical action manga of the same name drawn by Kouta Hirano, which has been publishing in Young King OURs since 2009. | Seems like a great cast so far. Hopefully it's an OVA series so they can keep up the quality shown in the PV. Since this is done by a new studio specifically created for it which probably consisted of mostly the same people who worked on Hellsing Ultimate, I hope the wait between each OVA won't be too long like Hellsing Ultimate though. |
There's not much information. There is speculation that it's somehow related to Hoods Entertainment, but no one knows at the moment. They have hired staff from SANZIGEN, Graphinica, Hiwa, and other companies closely affiliated to Gonzo and its offshoots. |
