Visuals are quite impressive but that's all I can say. Story about two guys in their daily lives exploring their sexuality.
I'm sure the story telling was done very well but it just didn't catch my interest.

Same here. The visuals were impressive for an ONA, but I just couldn't get into it. Also, was there any need to show the shower scene 4 times >.>

totally agree. animation is awesome, and the emotional site is something worthy of praise. though i'd like to see more than, as it was said before, the reiteration of the shower scene. 9 minutes is more than enough to show some story

sigh, the tension was almost unbearable to watch. I can very much relate.
Quite a fine short!

I agree with aero. Beautiful animation, but quite uninteresting and slow to watch.

Considering this is more of an art film than anything else, I think it managed to convey the feelings of (awkward) sexuality well.

I think for one person doing all the animating and sound, the art is nice!

I liked it, it's really easy going and slow paced but it has feeling and a deeper meaning behind it... :)

I agree.

I didn't really understand why the shower scene was repeated several times though.

Visually, this was amazing.

I guess all the shower scenes are the same moment in their lifes. We start in the end... Because they get out of the shower and face each other and it feels like "what's going to happen next?". Then we go into past memories, with the glances and sexual tension, looking over and analysing their lifes into the last scene, with the shower again and its continuation.

I particularly loved it and tehnominator's review is a great help to see this animation with other eyes.

God, that beautiful. The visual style, the tension.. it was all so beautiful. Why have I never heard of this until twenty minutes ago?

The visuals were amazing especially the backgrounds and the vantage shots. The characters were OK and the theme of the plot was just OK too. Moving on...

9/10 for visuals alone but the plot was not my cup of tea so 7/10.

NOW I understand... XD

Watching it the 2nd time around, it makes more sense. There's also boxing side-story... something happened to one of the boys? :?

Very good art, though it was kind of hard to tell people apart. Got the whole sexual awkwardness thing but the no voices, the story telling, and the art made it a little hard to follow. It was nice though.

A shame people can't sit down for ten fucking minutes of their life and just enjoy a nice art film. Instead, they rather bitch, complain and repeat already said opinions, 'cause they certainly can't have one of their own.

Why I agree that the shower scene was not needed to be so vigorously repeated (if people actually payed attention they'd notice the last shower scene was slightly different than the other shower scenes) and that this could've been more than it presented, I personally feel for all that it was, it was absolutely wonderful. I want more simple things like this. I love film a lot so seeing stuff like this is a real treat for me. Idk, maybe I just enjoyed this way more than others.

Also, a bonus for me was that this hit most all of my favourite anime genres.

Pretty sweet for a 10 minutes film, I think it did everything amazingly considering the super short duration.

It was okay to watch. The animation and music was very well done, felt refreshing to watch. If I hadn't read the MAL rewrite summary however, I wouldn't have know very well what was going on however..

The animation was really good but I didn't get the story and also I didn't expect him to drop that towel!

5/10.

I am not sure what I just watched. I feel like it has some deep meaning, but I just can't understand it.

The art and animations were beautiful.

The sound was probably a bit too loud.

I think I need to re-watch this to understand it.

Edit: I re-watched it, and it was actually quite good and made more sense!

okay so this was pretty decent, the visuals were absolutely amazing in nearly everyway no doubt, and the soundtrack was nice as well but felt like that was all it had and the story/characteres were lacking... pretty sure thats because it was a bit too abstract for me and like 99% of the symbolism and all that stuff flew over my head; maybe i'll understand more if i give it a rewatch, but for now it'll be a 3/10.

Watched it today and realized I had first watched it back in 2010. That was before March 11th and my moving to Japan...specifically, the prefecture this film is set in (I live about an hour's drive south of the sports park in this film). It was a bit strange the second time around; the trains, the reconstructed castle gate that serves as the entrance to the sports park, the tall blue skyscraper...they haven't changed in 14 years. In that way it's a bit sad to think that this story draws attention to that lack of change. Everything that smothered the two main characters in this film, as symbolized by the visuals and the sounds, is still in place today as it was then.
