| What's with kids and sex these days? They jump to bed only a few hours after they've met. Anyway it was a beautiful episode. I did not though that they would end up like this. But somehow it felt like it lacked something that would make me want to shed tears. |

| i thought Chihiro will jump after Renji finishes the novel hat she wrote... it was a sad story but it was the best way for them to break up... a sad but happy ending so they say to the both of them... i hope the last ep will be good.. |

| Overall good episode, especially the ending. Nice and sad. But the rooftop sex was SOOOOOO random and out-of-character for both of them. Oh well, look forward to the finale. |

| Oh man, ef-a Tale of Memories never ceases to bring a smile to my face, whether in a scene of sheer happiness like the one from last episode, or the beautiful tragedy that is this one. I was definitely prepared for Chihiro jumping, but damn, when she just tossed away all the pages of her diary, my heart just sank. That was truly a gorgeous scene, well animated and great soundtrack. The fact that Chihiro decided to keep living, but destroy everything that defined herself might be even more devastating for Renji--that she would be tantalizingly close physically, but distanced in heart and soul, perhaps forever so. Well done T.T (at least there's a chance they may somewhat get closer in the final episode. Doubt it though) Oh, and the rooftop sex scene was kinda ehh... =/ |

| I stopped taking much of an interest in this arc a while back, but the fact that it's a serious yet innocent love story, yet the sex scene just took it to a level that I can't take it seriously either. I am bound to get flamed for this, but the Renji/Chihiro arc bores me and I don't think is as good as it's being made out to be. |

I thought the story meant she was gonna jump, and the 'running through the castle and up the stairs' scene was him rushing to save her.. but he came out through the door rather calmly.. Anyways.. I thought she did throw herself off and just threw the pages in the air right before she did. Also.. he basically did it with a 12 year old =/ I was kinda expecting it, but seriously.. she has the mentality of a 12 year old! There's no point in posting my thoughts of the episode in terms of who great it was.. because it's the same thing at the end of every EF episode.. only the last few have been clearly superior. |

| Some people may complain about this, but "ef - a tale of memories." is the story of "Chihiro and Renji" for me. And this episode is the climax of all the episodes. Quite beautiful, and at the same time, sad. "Lastly, God threw away the last trash from the cliff." This phrase gave us a chill and many people think Chihiro would jump off from the roof, but she didn't. Since she always wanted to disappear, her hope was like that. But she couldn't do it anymore because Renji would get trauma from that. She just wanted him to forget her and be happy even if he got short term sorrow. By the way, I wondered what the blur of painted pictures means and I thought the girl in the novel is Chihiro and the blurred image means oblibion. So the two in the pictures were Chihiro and Renji of the past. But here comes the following phrase. "That girl is us." This means that Renji also can't see clear pictures. That's right. He also can't see themselves clearly when she lost her memories. He sees different Chihiro who doesn't know him and himself whom she doesn't know in her eyes eye; "The world itself appeared blurred." I'm not sure whether my interpretation is right or not. If you have any suggestion, I'd like to hear it. Well, I also like the ending of this episode. The song "Sora no Yume" is sung by Chihiro and the lyrics is kind of suggestive. The lyrics in English and the gist of the lyrics are in my profile. If you read the lyrics carefully, you would have noticed that it was a spoiler for the next episode like the silhouette of the next episode's opening. Actually, it seems producers except the lyric writer didn't notice it. Incidentally, the remix version included in the CD "ef - a tale of memories. ending theme Andante by Chihiro Shindou" is fabulous: slow, quiet and beautiful. You will see the image of "a slumbering angel on the cool celestial floor". |

| Argh I was too optimistic. When her story mentioned blurred images I thought her emotions were starting to carry over more and she was confused to see reports of her experiences with Renji as something more than just text and it would be a good development, but then she decided to 'suicide' her life with Renji to give her a 'happy ending' and to cut Renji from her because she thinks he would only suffer in the end. I wonder if this is the end.. 5/5 I see many people calling having sex something that happens too soon, is random or out of character. For Miyako she mustered her strength to for the first time in years make a decision that isn't to run away from everything. She was convinced at that time Hiro was the right one for her, so she did what she had to in order to make him and her closer. That's assuming she was calculating to make up for her trauma and insecurity, on the other hand you can just think they were lovebirds :p And Chihiro has learned she needs to do something when she can still feel it. She has said 'I need to do it when I still feel it because I'll forget it tomorrow' all the time in the series. It's not only natural for her but also rational. It would seem weird to see her take the initiative if it wasn't for that. Or well, Renji started it with his declarations of love and 'can I kiss you' so she already had some momentum ^^ |

| this episode seriously ripped my heart out.... it can NOT end like this. after all renji and chihiro have been through, that final scene was just too much to bear. to throw away her memories like that was absolutely devastating im really crossing my fingers for the final episode, please let there be a miracle ;_; |

| when he started reading i immediately fely she was going to jump so i started saying nononono...then afterwards with the papers i was speachless i was about to cry....i understand both of them as well of the story...but its still hard to accept it :/ |

| Such a sad episode, can't stop crying! The whole story was so lovely but the ending was hearth braking! I really though she was going to jump as well having a connection with the story, didn't expect she would rip off every page of her diary so her whole 4 years is lost! I don't know but the writers must really thing after they declare love there comes sex... well it's not all to bad but imo didn't really fit in the touching part of the whole story... Either way really awesome episode this really boosted the score for me! Up to the last episode of the first season! |

| I thought she was gonna throw herself off the building... Well I guess she did from a certain point of view. I knew that something would eventually happen to the diary. I mean it just had to it was so obvious. But what's she gonna do if she ends up pregnant. Oops didn't think that far ahead, I guess you can only grow up so much within thirteen hours. |

| Could that ending have been more powerful or beautiful?! I was thinking that Chihiro might kill herself once Renji was finished reading the novel but I never thought that this was her plan. I feel this was 100x more powerful. She loves him that much that she's willing to let go of more happiness that she'd get so he wouldn't have to suffer for her. Such a incredible scene! |
