| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well now, seeing as how most of the forum topics have been wiped, guess I'll start one up for episode 47. So yeah. This episode was... a bit of a downer for me. I mean, Black Star chooses his own path or whatever and then he's suddenly able to beat Mifune (and the way that it happened was SO cliched). -1 right there. And then the giant robot battle at the end. -.- It was good for a few laughs, but meh. 3/5 from me. |

| This episode was a bit of a "what the hell was that?" for me with Black Star coming back instantly way stronger and one shotting Mifune. Then there was the base vs base giant robot battle which was just... strange. Next episode looks like it should be good with some Shinigami vs Asura action. |
| Totally dissapointing in my opinion. The music and animation were sweet, but they missed a great opportunity by changing the Mifune / Black Star fight so much. I don't really know what to say about the "mecha" action. I still have high hopes for a decent end, but I was really looking forward to seeing the fight this week animated. |
| the show was going downhill anyway...this ep made it a bit better for me I guess. Sure the black star v mifune waspredictable but the real highlight was...whoa. Anyways I think they messed up sometime after crona joined shibusen. But this episode was a bit better than the last couple of eps me thinks...though I know a lot of peopl wud disagree.. |

| UGS released subs for 47 already. Surprisingly fast since I wasn't expecting to get any subs til Thursday or Friday. |
| i never would have guessed there would be any kind of giant robot action from this show. At least they did it in an entertaining way. I do hope that the battle with the demon god is a good one though. |

| This had me in stitches most of the way through. I love how the anime's taken such an abrupt an humorous turn once again from the manga. |

| well that was so stupid. i've loved almost every episode of this show except this one and t he one with medusa's death. this one was just plain stupid though. black star surivived and came back in a really clique way, and to top that off he beat mifune in one blow after. they could have had a kick ass fight but meh they decided to ruin it. then the giant robot battle? that was just plain stupid and retarded. the show better get it together with the next ep because im hugely dissapointed. |
| One thought that popped in my head while watching this was what if Asura is Kid's older brother and Shinigami's oldest son? I know theres been a lot of speculation about if Asura is really Kid's dad and whatnot but I have a weird feeling after learning why brew was created, that Shinigami had a similar family problem that revolved around Asura. Overall this episode was WTF! |

| I Agree with you all that Mifune vs Black Star sucked. And they could have done a way better job at that... But the Death City robot was awesome in a what the freaking hell kind of way! That robot was more over the top than anything I ever saw in TTGL. A bit fat driving Deus Ex Machina! |

| I agree that the Black Star vs Mifune fight was cliche, but it wasn't bad IMO. I thought Shinigami-sama was hilarious and made this episode XD |

| wow, that was really random. and while i liked the scene with black star and the deer, the subsequent "battle" with mifune was way too quick and poorly done. when death city was entering battle around 16:00, was that the batman begins theme that played in the background? i swear it's very similar, if not identical. |
| To see the Death's City walking was really spectacular! But see it to eat the Kishin was simply hilarius! I liked! Gurren Lagann's Memories!!!! |

| This episode is titled incorrectly. It should be "Fight to the Finish: Wait, Where'd that Come From?!" XD I wasn't expecting Shinigami to actually get ahold of the castle because of how awkward the Death City machine looked as it was moving. |
| Black Star vs Mifune was NOT as epic as in the manga, which is what I was hoping for here >_> And the ending was...just ridiculous. Though I did still laugh at a few parts :P |

| Soul eater... why you do this? ;_; Not only did you rob us of the awesomeness that was the blackstar vs Mifune manga fight, but you also had to trow in a weird mecha battle? *sigh* at least the manga is still awesome. |

| Well, this was never a serious series to begin with. I'll try to keep this in mind while watching the next few episodes. Because, wtf, mecha in Soul Eater???!?!?!!?!!? |

| ... W-well, that was... ehm... Ok. When Stein first explained to Maka and friends why Shinigami couldn't move around the world, he said that the only way was to move the WHOLE city with him... and, obviously, Stein added that would NOT ever happen because it's plain illogical, irrational, STUPID. But oh hell yeah. I was better than Stein for once. I knew Soul Eater would dare to make that randomness come true someday. Kid really stole the best of his episode. The facepalm.  |

| I LOLed. I love the Grim Reaper. And Kid's facepalming. The ending of that episode was so worth putting up with the many clichéd (and somewhat boring) scenes I've had to sit through to get here! |

| This was.... kind of disappointing. First Black Star's cliche fight, and then robot action? The only thing worse could be if they added Excalibur to top it all. xD 4/5 |
