Should Pluto be made into an Anime

After reading this fantastic piece by two reigning masterminds of Manga, I think it would make a wonderful anime that can top even Monster. The ending for each episode should definitely be Bohemian Rhapsody.

Imagine this, the ending Line from the North #2 episode:

North #2...
Come back, it's time to practice your piano...
Come back North #2...

(while destroyed parts of North #2 glides under the blue sky and white clouds...)

Is this the real life,
Is this just fantasy.
Caught in a landslide,
Escape from reality.
Open your eyes,
Look up to the sky and see~

Yes, I'd love to watch a Pluto anime, but I don't want it in CGI.
I find normal draws the better way for it.

Perhaps one day it will be made into a Anime, Masao Maruyama producer of Madhouse and Maapa states, "a project I have to do before I die." He already calculated how much it would cost, which is 800,000,000 JPY (7,397,475.82 USD). Hopefully some funding for the project will see it come to fruition. Here's a link to a little bit more on this: http://www.japanator.com/masao-maruyama-wants-to-make-pluto-anime-doesn-t-have-the-cash-32480.phtml

Oh please God. Make this into an anime.

My guess is it probably won't be, but I'm glad MAPPA is at least considering it. Even if there were to be one, I doubt an anime would appear for a long time (let alone do the manga justice).

Not even kidding, if he put up a Kickstarter for it. I would drop $200.

Drop Queen and I agree. This wouldn't even need as many eps as 20th CB would or Monster had.

This manga reads like it was born to be made into an anime... it is so clear cut and well done, it could easily be used as the precise storyboard. The parts of it involving music and color especially stand out to me as wanting to be in an animated format.

A manga by The Father of Anime/Manga is getting an anime adaptation? That's going on my PTW.

Let's hope it isn't like Young Black Jack.

Never thought it would happen. Read the manga long time ago.
But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

I still remember reading the manga, it was great, but I genuinely forgot a bit of the story.

It'll be nice to see it.

no, if anything, it was most stright and direct story telling naoki works i've read, and it was much better because of it IMHO...

I am not really surprised since I was kinda expecting it after reading this interview: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3050725
According to someone who attended Maruyama's panel at Animazement this year, he says his health is degenerating, and expects he has 3-5 years left to live.
[...]
I asked him if/when the anime adaption he wanted to do of Naoki Urasawa's Pluto could happen. He said "Before I die."

Based on what is commonly considered "deep" and "elitist" I wouldn't be surprised if Pluto joins the club.

If someone like me LOVED it....it definitely isn't.

It's not too deep or anything....it does have a serious tone tho....but it's pretty entertaining without being TOO preachy or symbolic.

IIRC, they need to expand the ending because pretty sure it left me in awe... i don't remember the detail tho, since my poor memories...

If you read the google translation to the french interview Masao said that the reason it took so much time to adapt was to find enough resources for a 39 episode adaptation.

I've done both and I regret nothing but I don't see much connection with what I was saying. Pretty much any show that has mostly adults characters and some ambition in the plot or themes has the potential to be labelled as elitist.
Pluto doesn't really go philosophical but can be easily considered deep from what I remember.
However the good thing is that it has more action and events going on so it might be appealing to a wider audience.

I'm just saying that if the all the Volumes were all the Dialogue it can work, but the 2nd Half of Pluto had quite a lot of action that can be adapted really fast

It was probably his most condensed work but suffered a bit of drop in quality in the last half, where it got somewhat formulaic, and also lacked a compelling antagonist. In terms of themes certainly his most straightforward work.

I think this will work really well as an anime for the setting but let's see.

TBH, it don't necessary great antagonist since it was more mystery for me... but the character does growth on me because it's more easy to understand and relatable...

but yeah, it's easy to get adapted because same reason... but hey, this is adaptation we are talking about.. 50% it will fucked up somehow...
