Wow, I'm only following like 3 of the top 10 manga for this week's results ;.; Nice to see Kimi no Todoke doing well though.
And hey, it's Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo! glad to see this doing well, actually I'm very glad. Going to cross my fingers for season 2.
I think HenNeko is doing quite a bit better than volume 6 did, but then again it may just be me having incomplete data.
Edit: previous volume dropped out with 30608. It did have fewer days of sales than this one has had, but the sollowing week's ranking requirement was notably lower than the difference. So yes, it's had an anime boost.

There is no such thing as shit taste. Only idiots who think everyone should have the same taste as they do.
Henneko volume 6 had a limited edition release that sold 7,343 copies on its first week. So the sales numbers are actually quite close to eachother.
Ah right. I don't make note of stuff that has recorded sales of less than 10k (except as part of a 50k total), so that completely slipped under my radar. Thanks for correcting me.

Happy for Hoshino, with the state of perpetual bad luck that seems to hit her. Horimiya (anime when :/) and Owarimonogatari, keep up the pace! Shocked Mahouka fell off though D:
I need to find a way to get my hands on Next Life, from what a friend tells me, it's pretty entertaining.
I was thinking the same. But it's a problem with Hoshino's health, so fortunately she gets better soon so she can continue it. DGM is probably my favourite manga and I miss it so much. ;___;
Gahhh aldkfad I see Horimiya and UsoLily up there. They both deserve an anime they're so good. Although, UsoLily has consistently been ranking on the chart for a long time now, I wonder why there isn't an anime yet (yeah, I'm just pushy for anime of manga I really like).
"Do you ever have a problem where you just don't know how to reply to an argument-- not because you don't know the answer, but you just don't where to begin? Like, the foundation of knowledge you'd need to impart to this person before you could even begin to drag them out of their sinkhole of ignorance would cost thousands of dollars, if it were coming from a University?" -MAL in a nutshell.
7,124 Bessatsu spoon. vol.43
which has Free! and Kyoukai no Kanata as the cover and specials.
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?
I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?
I wonder how long people would put up with this.
As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.
It's been awhile since iv'e seen Fairy Tail sales at 400k+ and still counting, way to go for it. The volume was very good. Hopefully this will spark the anime's continuation to come faster. ;_;
25. *,*33,237 *,*33,237 Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio Vol.8
I'm curious how much did previous volumes sold in first week compared to last volume, does anybody knows numbers?
Did it got anime boost, seeing that anime is quite popular?
30. *,*27,550 1,417,063 Shingeki no Kyojin Vol.11
Seems they finally fixed restock issues.
Excited to see year end figures soon.

The last volume, vol.7, did not even make the chart when it was released back in May, which means it sold <19033 the first 5 days of release. This week, it sold 33237 in the first 5 days.
Now I remember someone mentioned earlier in this forum that the anime has done nothing to the manga sales but the fact is that he just failed to recognize that the boost is noticeable only when a new volume is out (unless it is super-popular title like Shingeki). The actual reality is probably that Aoki Hagane got the most boost to its manga sales measured by proportion.

Than you.
Yes in this case boost is really noticeable. Even if we assume that last volume missed threshold just by 1 sale it still 75% increase compared to previous volume. Also probably big part of new people who bought latest volume this week also bought all previous volumes, it's just unlike with SnK that wasn't shown in weekly charts.
I don't know how typical is SnK showing anime boost (i don't talk about amount that's is really atypical:)) But from it seems that if someone decides to buy manga because of anime he is buying everything in bulk mostly not only first or last volume.
SnK total sales during April 15 to October13 period where:
v1 1195160
v2 1169292
v3 1155958
v4 1147365
v5 1153555
v6 1152735
v7 1160097
v8 1201277
v9 1221486
Only first and last two volumes sold little more than v4, but compared to total sales that difference is really small. Especially since for v9 part of this difference could be people who where just lazy to bought it earlier.
hpulley said: Wish MAL was faster. As always ANN had this week's manga results up yesterday and LNDB had the LNs up too.
But at least MAL covers the "other books" chart too (at least until now). Only small comfort though, I know....
