| I would rather have all the seasons grouped in one entry. I mean, if I cared at all about the ratings. The main issue of Gintama, aside from its arguably slow beginning that puts many people off, rule of 1/5 and etc., is that it is very episodic, and when there are arcs they are introduced as isolated little stories; this plays in its advantage when different seasons are compared, because it is easier to retain the quality this way, since the structure of the series is not adscribed to a clear climax. What makes this series so prominent at the top lists is that there is no essential change between seasons. I loved Gintama and now that I'm in the middle of Gintama' I've found that it is pretty much the same, with no substantial added highs or lows. Of course, some arcs can be better and some can get worse, but the series overall keeps a regular level due to the episodic routine. |

| The only part that annoys me a bit is how Enchousen is in the top 10, because that was like 95% story arcs with next to no comedy, which is by far the most boring part of Gintama, It lacked just about all the good things from the prior seasons. #sequeleffect |

| Anyway, a lot of people says that it gets good after episode 20+, but actually there are a lot of mediocre episodes after that point as well. Especially within the arcs. Still hella funny. Some episodes are bliss. |
