She won't tap out right? Manga readers, spoil me please :c.

Besides, shouldn't she get practices, tips and the likes from her seniors? Or does everyone in the group hates her? o-o

Holy shit, 50 losses! What the hell is she doing when she's training? It also pisses me off that those 50 losses were from her giving up, she should have known what she was getting herself into when she said she was going pro. I seriously can't respect a character or person that just gives up so easily, it pisses me off, I'm a little relieved that Toyoda is knocking some sense into her though.

This is off-topic, but seeing this be compared to Hajime no Ippo leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Misaki Toyodo (Kyoko Narumi a newcomer perhaps best known as Nasuno in Teekyu where I love her previous and current work) won't let her give up this time... giving her some special training to turn things around. Does beg the question why they let her lose 50 times in a row and almost quit before they gave her this training but... that's how it is.

Next week should be the turnaround for Sakura, just hope it isn't too late for the anime. Anime only folks may also have "give up!" on the show by now I fear. Manga readers know it does get better, it isn't just going to be us watching Sakura lose 500 more times... but that's how it felt watching this episode today, even knowing that it does get better. It feels worse watching it than reading it...

I will be watching, Sakura! You will have at least one fan until the very end!

I guess you underestimate the pain that one has to go through in wrestling. Sakura is one tough nut but precisely because of that she would still be conscious even as she is under a pain that might have got someone to faint already but in wrestling, like judo, once you are locked you are out of wits to get out so what more to do? At least in judo you get time count but this does not seem to be the case in pro-wrestling. You just endure the pain without gain (as you cannot get out) and Sakura already endures pain further than many could go, so why shouldn't she give up? Just to prove that she could bear more pain??
So MAL finally starts locking news threads that are only a few weeks old?

I wonder where was the announcement of this change? Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them?

I wonder how long people would put up with this.

As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series.

Seems the episode skipped a few details from the manga. For one she was supposed to enter the office and run into Misaki and the manager discussing Misaki`s retirement. Hopefully this series keeps accurate to the manga and no more deviations. Next episode hot training from hell.

What bothers me is that she didn't try to practice counters ( or at least they didn't show it ) to that boston crab or w/e it's called. You'd think after at least the 5th time she lost to it she'd think of counters.

Heck, why did it take 50 losses to finally get some special training to counter it? Why didn't the people she practices with help her?

It just boggles my mind unless the manga had a reason but the anime skipped it.

Still, looks like we'll finally get over this next ep.

Episode was pretty dull in my opinion, Sakura keeps on losing each round she wrestle and always defeated with those moans coming in. I was kind of going to drop this but when I see the preview of next week it looks like she will win on some point, so I'll see what it looks like.

See the thing is, I was fine with her giving up the first few times, but when you give up a match 50 times, there's a problem. You'd think that after a couple of losses from the same exact move, she would learn a way to get around it. That wasn't the case (I'm not sure if the manga told more, but I'm saying this from the anime's perspective), and if Toyoda hadn't come when she did, Sakura would've given up and just live her life doing nothing. I can't respect that at all, but I do see where you're coming from though.

Wow this anime is so depressing.... If this was real she would of got a back injury or leg injury and never could dance or wrestle again...

It is true that pride is the worst sin.

Also, she obviously isn't taught anything during training... She's seems very much like one of those paid to lose fighters... gets a bonus to throw the fight...

Its pretty much impossible to get out of a boston crab.... but you'd have to be knocked out completely to be put in one in the first place...where is the technique? Don't lie there like a dead fish!.... its good she taps out... otherwise could get injured..

Wtf is this moaning porn?

A dorky wrestler would have already found a way to avoid the "Boston Crab."

Why do they put Sakura in a Steiner Recliner as an alternative?

Painful to watch in more ways that one. Not even the fanservice is any good thanks to the lazy animation. Hope they improve a lot by next episode.

I was planning on watching this show just for the voice cast, but it's so awful that I don't think I can sit through any more. This entire episode was just Ayana Taketatsu moaning erotically while her character was being subdued with the same move over and over and over again. I didn't think a single episode of a show could get this repetitive. And what's up with the crotch shots? If you made a drinking game out of them alone, every participant would die of alcohol poisoning in the first five minutes.

This shit just doesn't even make any sense. I can't believe that Sakura could take 100 consecutive throws but be incapable of finding a way to get past a single submission hold. I really dig Ayana Taketatsu, Kana Asumi and Haruka Tomatsu, but this show is quite possibly the worst show of the season. Hell, it's even worse than Inu to Hasami wa Tsukaiyou, which is quite a feat.

While I wouldn't have called this a great series I did like it until this episode. However I don't blame Sakura for giving up or for being beaten. I doubt I could take a Boston Crab for anywhere near the length of time she did (and I have no intention of finding out either). I agree with Symbv, "Sakura already endures pain further than many could go, so why shouldn't she give up? Just to prove that she could bear more pain??" No I blame her trainers, and really it makes no sense that they wouldn't have taught her a counter.

Take the training at the end, instead of just telling Sakura to find a way out of the grab wouldn't it help if she actually taught her one? Still I'm going to keep giving a chance for now I think it has potential (otherwise I wouldn't be here).

And yes there was more moaning in this than a politician's secret invite only party.

This comment by cyborgneko999 "The fans love you on top but when your not they hate you like garbage." got me thinking. I havn't read the manga but what would be interesting is if this turns into a social commentary on the nature of fandom and what happens when an idol loses the support of the fans. Something tells me that won't happen.

I'm starting to ship Sakura with that cute chubby fan of her's, though. He's sticking by her no matter what and I think it'd be really cute if they met properly and hit it off.

Well, this has gone downhill. I get that she loses every match to the boston crab, but do they have to show them all? It's tedious and I'm not sure that I care anymore. This felt like it could have been done in a five minutes episode (including OP/ED). Additionally, the artwork certainly feels stale (as does Sakura's end-of-match yodelling).

p.s. And as others have pointed out, surely someone, somewhere could have suggested that she try something new over the course of 50 matches, especially since her remarkable failures are bringing opprobrium to her stable. Or maybe, she could have just asked somebody.
