| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ----------------------------------------  The ships leaving warp often are my favorite parts to look at just for the effect, especially when it breaks like a sheet of ice seen in the earlier episodes. The whole hunt here was just as I expected and a bit even more intense due to Captain's heart issue on top of XO, Niimi, and Tactical Officer Kodai drama. Was really glad he stepped up to handle the issue making the smarter solution of the bunch. Was kind of hoping if the captain was unable to meet his duties that Kodai would become the new captain. Sound effects for torpedos, ocean appearance and watery sounds for the dimensional areas and cross dimensional sonar systems was quite good additional medical advancements was a bit mindblowing, medical drones and hows he was doing it. |

| Kodai is too far down the chain of command to become commanding officer unless a lot of other people are incapacitated. Also as commanding officer he wouldn't be able to leave the ship to carry out all those heroic missions. |

| ah I loved this episode! the fights and explosions are amazing ahaha :'D but! I noticed that they don't talk about Iscandar at all? already on ep13 and... Starsha?? I don't know what they are planning :x |
| 5/5 A great episode, when there are battles between ships, the series acquires charisma that characterizes this type of plot based on heroic acts and wars for freedom. The enemy in question, then it is really interesting, as the enemy vessel. Drawings and animations to great effect! I wonder if Niimi and Kodai would fit together XD |

| The animation and characterization are top notch as always. I loved the old school submarine warfare feel of this episodes battle. I wonder who Nimi and Sanada are talking about? Kodai's brother perhaps? |

| I'm really getting hooked in. Story is progressing amazingly. Starting to see some backstory connection between Sanada and Niimi and Kodai (presumably his brother). Still LOVING the ED song!! |

| Since the captain is named Okita and all the commanders names are based off the Shinsengumi he probably has Tuberculosis cause when the doctor scanned him he was looking at his lungs. I liked the whole dimensional sub part and Niimi should have just listened to Kodai or they wouldn't have suffered any casualties. R.I.P three extra characters you will be missed. xD |

| For someone who seems to pride himself to be a cold logical man, the second in command really didn't deliver... choosing the potential destruction of the Yamato over the lives of a few pilots. Kodai's option was clearly better suited and less risky imo And the glasses girl still bitching afterwards... |

| The animation and the visuals in this episode were pretty good, but how they survived those huge many rocks in the space is really not logical. Good Episode. |
| I'm pretty angry that they lost some crew members because of the XO and the glasses woman's stupid decision, otherwise good episode as usual. |

| The episode is very beautiful because it offers a tactically interesting and intriguing battle because of the alien ship. The personal growth of Kodai is well structured, slow but spot on. From the speeches made, it is understood that Kodai's brother was a highly esteemed person in the environment. |

| The whole submarine-hunting-from-inside-dimensional-rift-or-something is cool af! Both conceptually and the executions I'm glad that the commander of the sub is competent and they're not been defeated by our MCs easily, and they'll meet again in near future. I wonder which other story (in any medium) have this kind of battle too |
| Nautilus has entered the game! I was blown away by that reference haha, and Frakken Wolf looks literally like Captain Nemo from Nadia! It's funny that the original Nadia seems to be inspired by Yamato even in this aspect (mysterious submarine and a badass captain, both were present in the original Yamato), apart from all the omages to it. And now the Yamato remake seems to be making on omage to Nadia at least in terms of character design! So sweet and cool and I love it! |
| As exceptional a game of cat and mouse and attrition you're likely to see, really liked how this concluded with no winner or loser, I wouldn't like to see the Yamato always cleaning the floor with anyone it faces. Concerned about the captain now, but even the tech they used for the surgery looked very impressive, they leave no stone unturned when looking to make the world as authentic as possible. So Niimi actually makes mistakes? |
