Another dbl release.

Was interesting to learn more about Tanaka, Jun and Kana. Can't wait to see what Youka seems to hide though.

Ep 20 looks like we'll get to see more of a parralel world?

*goes to watch ep 20*

That was such an awesome backstory. Ichiro is such a cool person. I loved how he and Tanaka came together.

Yeah cool background story. To be honest I didn't like Ichiro much but Tanaka is even more awesome than I thought ^^

Onto the next episode.

While it was good to finally see the backstory concerning Jun's past, I couldn't get into this episode. I really don't know why but something felt a bit amiss for me. Perhaps I'll figure it out when I rewatch the series sometime down the road. On to the next episode...

Ahh was a sad story, but Jun finally knows the truth..
The last few episodes should be interesting, curious how he uses the gun...

So tanaka was like 16 and Ichiro was like 25 when they got married lol. Way to big of an age gap for me. Still the back story was amazing.

Yeah, I thought the age gap was a bit much, and the whole 'love at first sight' part too.
I wonder where that gun is going to come into play.

The truth is always so harsh, after wtching 19 Eps, this anime seems to catch my attention.

Jun's Back Story is by far the most disturbing back story ever

It was OK, but the yakuza bits were ridiculous. And is it just me, or does it seem a bit weird giving a young teenager a handgun that apparently has no trigger lock or anything of the sort on it? Not even any lessons? What if Kana gets hold of it?

Nice backstory, though I'm getting a little tired of all these flashbacks.

Now I know why he was like that. All the sh1t his parents faced just to save him and his little sis.

Ichiro's a shitty character, why would Ushiro be proud to have his blood.
Tanaka on the other hand... Though I'm sure the sentiment of being strong enough to support him was nice enough, in reality she just left him out in the cold for the best part of his childhood.

Way too much crap here.

Really nice backstory and well we finally have proof that she's his mother which was still quite sad that she didn't manage to say it in person! Pretty decent episode though, let's see what's next!

my thoughts exactly! the story was like so so up to here, it was like Lost, with lot of mysterys unsolved, really clliches sad stores, Jun e Kana seem to be the most promise.... and now this yukusa shit?!

Im feeling really bad to come all this way... shouldve drooped it when i had the chance... now I went to far... I wannna see how it ends... but I ma tell ya: its hanging by a thread for me....

Interesting episode, but I feel like theres somethings not quite well explaine. I dont get Ichiro's death. He did what he did because he could not forgive the guys that killed one of their families, right? But that goes against his cool and thoughtful character...
I liked the whole "showy clothes" point and how Tamotsu simply didnt grow out of it (see his scarf).
Also, how did Kana know about him not being her brother? Did they father told her? Why wouldnt he tho?
Ps isnt there a missing girl in the ending? Mako, I think?

So Tanaka decided not to tell Ushiro that she was his mother and then Tamatsu told him anyway, or maybe I misunderstood Tanakas final scene and she wanted him to to tell. Still a bit strange to see Ihchiro's back-story instead of focusing on Ushiro.

This episode just gave me more proof as to why I never hated Ushiro from the beginning (he's my favorite out of all the kids). I'm not sure why I did not hate him in the beginning (as most people do) for being such an asshole. Then this episode comes along (well the last couple episodes too) and gives his character so much redemption. I hope things are good between him and Kana now.

So all this time I thought Tamotsu and Tanaka were biological brother and sister. Oops. Jun and Kana aren't either!

Ichiro going and dying because of the slight a rival Yakuza gang did may make sense if he was single, but he had a wife and son! Crazy that he was willing to get himself killed and leave his family like that.

So Tamotsu, is giving a middle schooler a gun really a good idea?

My guess would be that we have some sort of Yoko redemption arc with her dying, although will that occur before or after another one of the contracted kids dies?

I think ichiro killed himself on that mission so the wife and son (jun) can escape the mafia life. So it wasn’t necessarily dumb. This episode was alright, I guess I have no other comments to add

it was hard to get into this flashback episode. never did actually. i don't have a single problem against yakuza plotlines but it felt like i wasn't even watching bokurano at that point, disconnected. and jun is my favorite character, so it wasn't because of him. i don't even know bro. apparently the yakuza part is all anime-only? not sure. i'm going to read the manga to find out for myself. it cleared up all the questions that weren't tied up in the last episode, so i guess it was needed... i guess

the military girl married Ichiro at 16?!! bruh. this has been real hella sus. First, we had student and teacher relationship that went bad, then we had middle school girl wanting to get a customer for money, and now marriage at 16 to some yakuza guy in his late 20s-30s if im being generous. yikes!

Every second anime I watch appears to inexplicably go off the rails and turn into a mafia story.
